  • I thought traders weren't allowed to advertise on the internet?

My info pack arrived today, along with the details of a trader for me to contact in the next town. I'll ring her tomorrow, and hope we get on well.

That seems like a good start :T

Which starter pack did you go for?

My diary is rather full up until the end of November, with visits to toddler groups etc.
:) Thank you to all OPs :)
  • I bought the bigger card pack but need cellos to put them in but alas cant till my 7 days are up. i might ring a few toddler groups tomorrow whilst son is at pre school and baby in bed. I want to have a full diary too :) how is trade doing, selling much? I cant do craft fairs etc as I am working weekends at the minute (cleaning, its a job at the end of the day the company is great to work for, no stress just cleaning loo's isn't my idea of a fun, social or a 'nice' job) just wondered would it be worth quitting... hummmm its a tough one, maybe wait to see... maybe after christmas sometime i might have a bigger customer base

I keep my cards in the bubble wrap they are delivered in! I think the cellos are another thing for the consumer to throw away, so by not using them I am keeping them out of landfill.

I do keep the sheets of wrapping paper in cellos though, as otherwise they are difficult to store.

I have three rather inquisitive cats, so I have to keep them away from my boxes of stock!

I personally would at least wait until I am in profit before quitting a paid job.

Do you know how many Trader's are in your local area? There are rather a lot local to me, although this can work in your favour, for example, I visited a day hospice a couple of weeks ago, and the hospice employee's were confident in placing large orders from me, since they have had dealings with another Trader before, who they lost contact with some time ago.

Again with the toddler groups, they have previously been visited by a Phoenix Trader who they have lost touch with, and have now been replaced by me! So I will certainly keep in touch with them on a regular basis in order to avoid being replaced.

I have had no problems selling most of what I received in my starter pack, although I still have the tissue paper, ribbons and a couple of birthday invites which I have not as yet sold. Are you happy with the contents of your starter pack?
:) Thank you to all OPs :)
  • yes i am happy, thought i would receive more i guess, doesn't look alot in that big box, maybe because they are all bundled together. the quality is outstanding though so overall I was really impressed - I'm going to try without cellos then, see what they look like, are they ok when people go through them, no grubby finger prints etc...

I'm looking forward to actually making my first sale, it was my husbands birthday today and asked my mum to get her cards from me... she forgot obviously... if she doesn't remember i think hows anyone else going to, but i guess its a matter of me plugging it to them... birthdays, weddings, anniversarys, driving test... I'm your Gal :)

I have managed alright without cellos so far, at least the kids at the toddler group are too small to reach the cards on the display stand!

Don't forget to contact those toddler groups today, before another Trader does ....
:) Thank you to all OPs :)
