Maybe ArmitageShanks is promoting ppwexpress because they offer a very good service. I've always found them very good but I don't work for them. He's also promoted Express Packages Deliveries and others in the past. I've always found his comments very useful.

The use of the sentence 'trying to discredit us' does suggest that you are therefore posting on behalf of a courier service which is not allowed on MSE. I have therefore referred the posts to the moderating team .

Thank you all. I'm in a no win position with some, but that's fine. Most of my points and views are substantiated and backed up many other people who post on this thread.

I could offer rebuttals to all of Claire12's points, but that would most probably tern counter productive. I've pointed out significant and glaring irregularities with 'her' posts before and think all that needs to be said has already been, and if the admins feel action should be taken so be it, the evidence would certainly support you.

Isn't this exactly what this forum is for?
I have followed up several recommendations from several members.
I've experienced good and bad service from different companies recommended by members of this forum.
I'm sure that Armitage is only passing on his own personal experiences as do other members.

I await your new thread with baited breath.
It will be interesting to see what your recommendations are and where DPD (Direct Parcel Deliveries/Direct Parcel Distribution or whatever they are calling themselves today) will feature in your thread :rolleyes:

For what its worth,
i dont think armitage shanks works for ppw express, but then i dont think claire12 works for direct parcel delivery/distribution either.
We have used both companys and they both have good and bad points.
I know both paul from ppw and ben from direct and i carnt see them posting bad things about each others companys. i may be wrong but who knows.
I do think that too much of this thread is wasted by arguements,this is here to offer help to people who need it.

there were to be none that she knew of.

Hello, I needed a courier to ship an item out today so used PPW as recommended from this thread. Booked online a day and a half in advance.

Needless to say, the courier didn't bloody turn up.

As this is an important shipment, and I hate couriers in general, I phoned PPW early afternoon and late afternoon to ask if they could advise where the driver was; the reply I got was unhelpful and frustrating, first saying they had until 5 and if no show they will rebook another collection free.

How generous??!!

She totally didn't seem to get how frustrating it was to waste one's time after paying for a service that guarantees a next day delivery, when it's failed cause the bloody thing isn't even picked up.

And "there's no way for us to contact the driver"???

Still waiting to see how this gets resolved but my experience of PPW has been a total waste of time and they don't show particularly good customer service.
