From their front page- I think that must be on every courier agents home page!:rotfl:

I was going to have moan about their cut off time being only 8.30, but express packages is similar and their overall service more than makes up for it, which underlines how it's not all about price.

....and yes you may well of made an astute move as I think ppw's current voucher scheme will be ending soon. Understandable really, as they'll just get people stock piling vouchers (like someone!).
  • Ooops! I didn't think the 1st one had posted.

    LOL
I must admit that I noticed that too. Everyone and their granny claim that:rotfl:
At the end of the day, who gives a s**t as long as the price is right and the service is good.

  • UK COURIER EXPRESS added.

Absolutely, a bit of minor plagiarism is nowt if the service is good. Ironically DPD neither plagiarise or provide a good service, instead they concentrate in pathetic competitor sabotage campaigns, sucks to be them!

As warning to DPD, if they post on this thread again in what ever form I will add a new heading to the first page 'Companies to avoid' and guess name will be appearing there in big letters.
  • Forgot to add that P2G are okay too (especially when they have a half price promotion LOL) but you need to print out the labels which is quite a put off for me as I use sticky labels that are not quite big enough so I have to resort to paper, scissors and sellotape (which is a faff) to use their services.

  • Did have parcel2go on the list, but took'em down as I can only really recommend them when they have a half price promo. I found their booking procedure time consuming, you get a million emails from James-Holmes-Brown (or what ever his name is) I also asked him if there was any discount if you have high volume; sadly he expected us to send 2 months worth at normal rates before possibly negotiating a rate (600 parcels at £9 i don't think so). So for that reason I'm out and they're off the list!
  • Just had a look at DPD's website again and it's even more confusing than ever!
One thing that I did notice is that they are now calling themselves Direct Parcel Distribution which begs the question... Why did they change from Direct Parcel Delivery?
Ooh and another thing I noticed, In their FAQ they mention Fedex which is a courier that they don't seem to use...............

To be honest, P2G have been around longer than most but their booking procedure IS very time consuming and the emails from James get on my norks :rotfl:
I also asked about a discount and got more or less the same reply :(

Well that's very naughty. I mentioned it to them in the previous thread, but they didn't head my warnings and low and low and behold they are now aligning them selves even closer to http://www.dpd.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deutscher_Paket_Dienst

I also remember them endless slating DHL saying they were 'by far the worst', and now they use DHL.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:The website is horrendous! Worst its ever been.
  • Oh dear.
Maybe we should not refer to them as DPD in future.
    How naughty of them.
That's just not cricket is it?
