I also had a similar phone call from the sales dept, saying that I could re-order at the full price.

I called customer care and they said there was nothing they could do and said that I should speak to sales.

I am now awaiting a call from a manager from customer care, so will keep you guys posted on the outcome.

It turns out that the extension number of the 'manager' who the customer care guy (India) said would call me back in 30 minutes, is on holiday until 21/11.

Also just called again and the girl in Ireland cut me off just after I gave her my details.

so give them an earful if you call them and dont be fobbed off.

    Ive heard absolutely nothing!
  • I think under Dell's T&Cs - an order confirmed through dispatch and payment is liable for replacement and an order not yet at those stages can be cancelled. I am still waiting for confirmation of receiving the replacement 19"TFT. Here's hoping for me and the "Dell 63" ;-)

Dont go OTT. You have waited a couple of days. Most companies would say get lost.. Dell are very good. We all jump on them when they have stupid deals... and more often than not, they let us have them.
On top of that.. they give very good reliable products.

I wish more companies were like Dell.

If you needed a 19" TFT this week.. you would buy elsewhere anyway.
    Be nice

ya know, when I first posted the original thread last Thurs, I was going to mention "note this is obviously a misprice so no Watchdog nonsense please ;)"

I'll try to remember to do that on my next misprice bargain post though :money:

If it comes its a bonus...if not we've not really lost anything.....and being one of thoe lucky ones which got the Inspiron 2200 with 1.2gb ram, 1.6gb processor and dvd rw with free dell 922 printer in June for £488.00 and the previous November getting the Dell Dimension 3000 with 15" flat screen for £189.71, I don't think I can really complain :)

Mind you, they didn't give me the projector for £30.00 :(
    Welcome, rogerramjet.

Could have been the correct price...they were doing a 25% of selected TFT's that day and the fact there are some very nice 19" TFT's out there for the £179.00 mark at the moment....Staples have two at this price, a Gateway and a Samton which is a rebadged Samsung, plus aria.co.uk are doing 19" for around £163.00 I don't think it would look like an obvious misprice
    Welcome, rogerramjet.
