Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Dell Online Customer Care.
Dell records reflect that due to internal technical error this order has been cancelled. I apologize if you were not notified of this order's cancellation.
To make amends for this, would you be willing to accept a Dell Ultrasharp 2405FPW 24" widescreen LCD Flat Panel Monitor?
Please let me know as soon as possible in order that I can arrange for despatch.
Thanks
SP
I said no obviously, I mean it's the principle of the thing. I ordered the 19" TFT and that's what I want.

This thread is starting to get annoying now!! I still have heard naff all from Dell - no PDF, no get stuffed email, no reply to my emails to customer services. Going to have to bunk off work for an hour tomorrow and give them a call.
As for substitute products if I was Dell I'd offer people the E193FP screen which isn't as good as this offer but is their nearest equivalent below the one we wanted - cheapest solution from their point of view. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

I can think of a cheaper solution for them...
Please accept my apologies in advance for quoting out of context...
I'm still working on the assumption that they will either put through another order, or contact me to explain why not. We'll see what happens!0 -
Well the email is similar to what was issued when they ran out of inspiron 1150 computers and gave peeps the 2200 instead.
This was the email they sent when the projector fiasco hit last year
I am writing to you to express my sincere apologies for any inconvenience
that may have been caused due to the error on the Dell website over the
weekend of 19/20 - 21 November 2004 that may have affected your request to
purchase Dell products. Dell takes all reasonable precautions to avoid
errors on our website and the error was corrected as soon as it was
discovered. We take these situations extremely seriously and work
continuously to improve the experience of our customers in dealing with
Dell.
I wanted to inform you that we are currently running a 15% discounted
promotion on the 2300 Projector. If you are still interested in placing an
order click on the link below for full details of the promotion and to avail
of the offer.
So you never know they may offer an alternative...although I don't hold much hope in it occurringWelcome, rogerramjet.
