Straight from T's & C's - so it's basically Dell saying they can offer you a better one but not a lesser one (if they bother to offer you one at all).All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!0 -
Anybody heard anything else, I've not had any contact from them since yesterday...
Also, they don't seem to have charged me anything yet - I suppose this should mean I won't be landed with a 17" CRT on the doorstep, anyway.0 -

yes.. once I ordered a PC.. a better deal came along.. so cancelled the 1st..
the sales staff then cancelled both... so i ordered a 3rd... and complained.. and they cancelled that too :S

Just had a call from Dell, stating that the CRT was cancelled and they then passed me to another department to reorder the 19" LCD at 131.60. Passed from pillar to post, then on the last transfer they cut me off!!
I'll await and see if they ring me back, if not, a stern email about this behaviour will be sent.
Anyone else receive a call and actually get anywhere ?

Just got a call from Dell to cancel my order as there was a pricing error with the lcd, to reorder this lcd it will cost me £260.0

Talk about the left not knowing what the right is doing
I've emailled a supervisor in customer services, so I'll just have to wait and see.

I also had a similar phone call from the sales dept, saying that I could re-order at the full price.
I called customer care and they said there was nothing they could do and said that I should speak to sales.
I am now awaiting a call from a manager from customer care, so will keep you guys posted on the outcome.0 -
A friend of mine who also went for this offer just recieved a call to say that this was a system error and due to this his order has been cancelled. He asked them if they would send out the TFTs as thats what was originally ordered, was put through to sales and they said the price had gone up to £260 and thats what he would be expected to pay.
He also asked why people who have already been delivered CRTs have had promises of a replacement TFT at no extra cost in its place and the phone was put down!.
Dell CS, you are one in a million!
I personally haven't heard anything back from them since yesterdays 'holding' email so we'll see what happens.0
