I know someone else pointed out this was a new model and wasn't being sold 'stand alone' yet. But where has this info. come from? - I can't find it stand alone or as an option on a system either at dell.co.uk or ...com.

In fact, I can't find much about it full stop.

no, they'll be selling it before they've received it purely on the hope that they might. :rolleyes:

I've seen it happen loads & loads of times before by these opportunists who order a lot for resale. If they don't receive them, they'll just pull the auction before the end, disappointing the bidders, but then these sellers can't have any morals anyway so I doubt they care one bit. :mad:

Right.

Just had two 17inch CRTs delivered. I've called customer services (India) and I was told that they will pick these up and replace with 19in TFTs at no extra charge. However they are unable to do anything for a couple of days(?).

She was well aware of the situation and told me that once they have a decision from management they will be able to proceed with my swap-out.

Not fussed how this turns out tbh

Assuming the absolute worst scenario (i.e. they don't bother picking up or replacing) I'll just do a card chargeback. I have a little more faith in Dell though

Where is the locked thread? It had some info in it that I wanted to highlight but its gone! poooof into thin air. Thats why pen and paper will never dissapear cos you can 't lock my pen up and you can't throw my paper away!
