just had another email from them advising to expect delivery within the next 3-5 days.
but, as previously said, knowing Dell I ain't holding my breath !0 -
I've been given another new order number and assured it will be despatched tonight - and I'll receive it in 2 business days. Checked the new order on-line and it says 18th of Jan.
Rang them again and was told that that date was the automatic default for a new order and it will be manually moved to despatch tonight. Manuj - the guy who loaded the order is supposed to ring me back within the hour to explain everything!All the World is a Stage; and I'm going through a difficult one at the moment!0 -
I've just had the email promising delivery in three days, I hope they send me another kettle lead, as the courier is coming to collect mine and the CD on Friday!
I take it nobody else is having their's collected?0 -
I've had the same email as herbal.
If they don't deliver in that timeframe it won't be surprising but ......what a mess.0 -
Has anyone who got the monitor got the correct invoice. I got the incorrect one by email and today I received an incorrect one (with the CRT Monitor) in the post also.
With this CD debicle and this, what are Dell doing?0 -

Here we go round the mulberry bush ... again. Having been told my order was re-instated 4 days later it had been cancelled again by Tuesday. This was (allegedly) because my credit card company had not authorised payment OR because the product was not available and I would have to re-order OR because it was cancelled in error. The answer depended on which of several people I spoke to in the space of 20 minutes. I stayed calm (just), said I did not believe Dell (taking care not to accuse the person I was talking to of lying), insisted Dell had an obligation to fulfil my order and insisted on being put through to somebody who could answer my questions. I was faithfully promised that somebody would contact me later. They did not.
This morning somebody called to check the delivery address and I've checked with my credit card issuer - and Dell have now taken my money. I live in hope ...
Be polite, be insistent, be resolute and don't give up!0 -

My replacement monitor for the defective one I got went into Production on 13th December and is scheduled for delivery by 17th January!! I think I could build one myself in less time than that!You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

I hust received an email telling me that I will now have my monitor within the next 3 working days:
Dear Customer,

This is good news - perhaps. My concern is that my original order number is that stated in the email (real number replaced by nnnn). The order status checker sor that order is still the same as it was before - showing that the monitor was delivered on Monday) I tried to check the status of the re-order number and instead of being shown that it was in production, it now states:
We have located your order but we cannot advise a status, please email Dell Customer Care following the instructions below and we will be in contact with you.
Wonder what will happen next !
