my latest update....

after my message on answering machine from jonathan last week i rang him today as i hadnt received a rebooking email. the order had been rebooked but i was not emailed...so i have now received a new order number which is in stage 1 of production, hopefully dispatched in next few days.

question...because they didnt send me an email, is there any way i can check the exact model number form the website? i couldnt find it from a quick glance.

good luck to everybody else who is still awaiting news.

Don't give up hope - send them an email and ask where your order is. Tell them you had been hoping to have this installed by now and you can't understand why it should take so long to process an order like this. Be polite, not abusive. Be disappointed rather than angry. Worked for me

By the way - Dell's announcement on the availability of this model (on Nov 14, 2005) stated that the launch price for this would be £219+VAT plus £5 delivery. So we're getting a £257 monitor for £131.60. Result

A lady from their Indian call centre rang me completely out of the blue yesterday asking for my address and credit card details. I asked what for and she said they're sending me a 19" TFT and she needed to do a security check first. I asked what model and she didn't know. It took me an hour and a half of ringing around just about every employee of Dell to find out exactly which model. Just about the worst call centre experience i've ever had!

All a bit of a surprise seeing as I cancelled the original order as they said I couldn't have it.

I've now got the PDF and it looks like it's all in hand now.

I had the first email.......and have done notihng since then except wait. Excellent result & mucho thanks to the OP again.
