Dell 19 inch TFT monitor £131.60 delivered (merged) [CLOSED]

dunno if it's all over or not, I was off work for a bit (I've just become a DAD!)but just mailed my Dell account manager today and this is the response he sent to me - to quote....

'I have checked this out again for you with our internet team and they are waiting for these monitors to come in, They where on a long back log but are due in the first week on December, I will keep checking this for you and keep you updated.'

there may still be hope

I to received crt monitor yesterday I didnot bother with the phone but emailed dell quoting the order no & original internet reciept no. stating they had delivered the wrong product

today got this response

In response to your mail below I have arranged for the 19 inch monitor to be sent to you under the reference number xxx. You should be receiving it in another 3-5 business days.

We have arranged for the monitor to be collected from you on 05th December,2005 and Our collection carriers will pick up the order between 9 am and 5 pm. If the collection fails on this date or if you have any queries regarding collection please contact our returns team on 0870-907-5406 for UK & 01-204-5406 for Ireland who would be glad to assist you. Please ensure to collect the collection receipt provided by carriers once the order is picked from you. The item for collection will need to be sent in the original manufacturer's box. Please be sure to include everything (hardware, software, diskettes, cables, documentation etc.).
For shipping the item should be packaged in a plain box or over wrap and the Dell Order number needs to be clearly written on the outside of the package.

I had refused the 17inch crt and then complained to them today, they are now saying they will be sending me a 19inch LCD monitor within 3-5 days. I hope it is true.

Everyone who got the 17inch crt just refuse it. The story the Dell agent told me was that on the website it was listed as a 19inch LCD monitor but in their order backoffice it came through as a 17inch CRT, someone on their website team messed up badly. So they sent everyone who ordered one a 17inch CRT. Lets hope this gets resolved.

Anyone who got the correct LCD get a new correct invoice for warranty purposes?

Nice one, but it's still not what you ordered, the response time for the 1905fp is 20ms compared to 196fp which was 8ms.
I would hold out and tell them to stick it : )

I've been emailing uki_customer_care@dell.com and been getting very quick responses. Keep on emailing and they will try to phone you.

Looks like I am getting a monitor on Saturday, lets see if it is the correct one

Not as frustrating as receiving nowt, then getting your emails totally ignored and your phone calls not returned!

Oh - and don't let them fob you off saying the 196FP screen isn't available because they're now selling it on their website, so they must have them in stock. So DEMAND they give you that, not the 1906s which they obviously want to clear out first.
