my Dell account manager sorted the mess out for me (despite my reservations ) and there's 2 E193FP on their way to me tonight. Many thanks to the OP for the heads up on this one.

Dell don't have any of the E196FP panels available until mid January so I doubt anybody will get them at all. The E193FP seems to be the only alternative but my account manager said that if you didn't receive a .pdf then the order will be, and will remain, cancelled.

As I stated yesterday I missed a call from Dell but their message on the answering machine said that my order was being rebooked. To date I have not received an email to confirm, I did receive the original Order Confirmation .pdf
Do you think it's worth a phone call to chase up even for the E193FPs?

I'd say you've got nothing to lose by trying, mate. But it's your call (no pun intended :rolleyes: )

As you had the .pdf for the 17" CRTs then the chances should be that you will get a result, according to what my account manager said, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they are only doing this for those that received the .pdf and then continue to 'make a noise' about it, if you see what I mean

oh but they can! There is no contract with anyone unless they have sent you a .pdf and debited your CC. If you have had both of those events happen then you are in a stronger position but if you haven't, then Dell are well within their terms to simply cancel the order. They've done it before and will no doubt have to do it again (until they stop making web mistakes :rotfl: ) and are well within their rights to do so.

Cant work this out at all, I ordered 2 when they first went on the webisite, I then received the pdfs which stated they where CRT and then I got the email saying there was a problem with the order and someone will contact me - not as yet.

However I have now recieved another pdf which states "This is an acknowledgement of your recent order etc etc - and do you know what it list further down, thats right a 17inch CRT!!!!

Shall I get in touch with them?

I just got another pdf with a 17inch CRT Monitor

Anyone actually recieved a CRT Monitor? I will send it back.

This is crazy. They had phoned me earlier saying my order was cancelled and now this.

got a call from Dell ireland left on my answering phone this morning saying that my order will be rebooked soon, and he has an estimated despatch/delivery (cant remember which one) of 5th December.
I should be receiving an email shortly apparently.
