No new PDF here, but I have had another email from Dell this afternoon saying that my original order has been cancelled...
That's one email with a PDF, then an email saying order cancelled, then an email saying order will be rebooked and a new order number issued, now another email saying the original order has been cancelled...
What's going on at Dell?
I'm not impressed...0 -
After receiving the new pdf a few days ago I did email dell and have now got a response.
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Dell Online Customer Care.
Further to your emaill I have looked into the specification and I apologize for the inconvenience to inform you that there has been some internal processing error and hence the 17" CRT monitor has shipped in place of 19"monitor.
This is to inform you that we have arranged for the correct monitor to be sent to you under reference number ********, which you can expect the delivery in 3-5 working days. And requesting you to kindly refuse the delivery of the wrong monitor which is scheduled to be delivered to you on 29/11/2005.
I presume this is only one monitor, dont know what has happend to the other one I ordered!!Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
I've had a PDF and the internal problem email but have not sent or received any emails since then.
Do you think I should email / contact them so they don't forget about me or best to leave alone? Anyone getting a delivery that hasn;t chased it up? Thanks.0 -
I just got this, 29inch - thats quite an upgrade :j but I think thats a mistype. So what are they going to do, send a CRT monitor, I send it back and they send my an LCD Monitor? DisgracefulDear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Dell Online Customer Care.
Please accept my apologies for the difficulties encountered when attempting to resolve your issue. I assure you that your situation is not indicative of the quality service Dell is capable of providing. I am truly sorry that we were not able to provide an experience that was completely satisfactory to you.
Due to the systems error this order has been picked up as 17 inch CRT. I apologise for the Inconvenience.
This order is shipped out now:
If you wish to keep this order with you , I can refund you 10% of the whole order value as a gesture of good will.
If you wish to return the order, Kindly accept the order form the carriers so that I can get the wrong monitor collected and get the 29icnh LCd delivered as per your request.
Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to reply to this mail directly.
Thanks,
Salome0 -

Can't get any sense out of CS, but I've never managed to get through to Ireland.
I've also emailed a number of times, when they do actually bother to reply I just get a stock 'your order has been cancelled' message.
Doesn't leave many options... not sure emailing/phoning will make any difference, unless you can get through to someone in Ireland perhaps?0
