Hey Taxi - glad to hear things are a *little* bit better - hope you managed to sleep okay, and your day today is not too bad.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning Taxi, I hope today goes ok at work.
Whilst it's no doubt galling to have to use the off-set money, thank goodness you have it available.
Have a busy one.

I was going to say the same about the offset. Am in a similar position over tax - have 2K in an ISA which I didn't want to touch but it is going to have to be used. But at least it is there to use and won't put the debt up. I know that it is not strictly MSE to save and have debt but I have been putting money into the ISA partly as an emergency fund, partly to pay for "annual" costs. It makes a big difference to know it is there though I have tried to manage without using it so far.
Hope you have a profitable day today taxi.0 -
Hi there..unfortunately a unprofitable day as I couldn't sleep last night so didn't get up until about 11.30am and not worth going in at that time on a weekday...so haven't been.I'm annoyed with myself!!!
Tomorrow is a different matter as on a saturday if I get up late there'll still be plenty of work(hopefully) so will def go tomorrow.I really do need to go this week as I need to build up the funds towards the end of dec/jan bills as I don't want to use the o/d if possible...also need £200 for the dogs spaying next friday....
I reckon if I go in tomorrow at a natural time and work the whole weekend I should be able to be able to get up to go in early from monday onwards.0 -

Sorry that today was a bit of a write off.

The MSE way always assumes you can raise funds quickly from friends/family/banks. This is not always a given. Especially for people on DFW, but even for organisations.
Not being able to raise funds is what killed Northern Rock."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'

Sounds a bit like my day Taxi..did a whole pile of ironing for Mr.B and not even thanked for it  and when i say a pile well..i mean a mountain..i could really go off folk..:cool:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
