Hi all..prognosis is that it could get worse!!!..also that x rays don't show up trapped nerves or as much detail as the Dr likes so could be worse than it shows anyway. She said to see physio with the reoport and that if physio thinks I need to see an orthopaedic than just to ring her and she'll refer me there and then so that I don't have to wait for a DRs appointment and also to ring her any other time if I need her. She's a fantastic Dr.
Losing weight should help me I guess but it will be a long slog as I have a lot to lose and I'm trying to exercise when I can.but exercising hurts if I do too much.
On a good note I'm going to go to work for a few hours tomorrow and see how I get on.0 -
Hi Taxi, some pretty rubbish news on both the weight and the back.
Which SW class are you going to? I should go back, having got to target, I'm now a good stone heavier  But, the thought of paying puts me off, before the consultant changed at my class, I didn't mind too much, but I'm not keen on the new one
Mr Twit suffers with his back and has previously been referred to the hospital, he was given a little blue back book....one of the outstanding quotes was...."you can be either a coper or a complainer" having read that, the book got thrown
Hope you start to feel better soon...any more news on your son and when he will be home?
Hugs to you... :grouphug:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Hi..it's pearls class but she's leaving at christmas and that has put me off as other SW groups have been boring and hers is a good laugh. If she wasn't leaving I probably would have still gone.
Son is back in December on home leave but was released a couple of weeks ago(didn't know whether you missed that in a previous post).
The Physio is as bad she just gave me exercises to do..stretching and told me to use heat on it !!!..will see what she does after seeing the x rays.0 -
I know what you mean about the disappointment of doing extra exercise but not losing weight - I have been running loads, but put on a lb this week
I reckon it will catch up with us next week and we will have big losses - don't give up!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Morning all,...it'spouring down here...am going to walk the dog afte...so brolly needed.
The good news for today is that we've received DHs medical report this morning and looks fair enough to me.I won't know what DH thinks until later on as he's still in bed from working last night.
The solicitor is saying we should put forward a offer for £2500 for his injuries..the solicitor reckons his injuries are worth £1800-£2,200 so this will allow for negotiation. The insurers have 21 days to reply so we are getting there.
Still waiting to hear about hiss loss of earnings apparently they were waiting on something from the accountants so I will need to phone solicitors on monday to check on that.
It will all be over soon , thankfully as it's been quite stressful. At least the medical report said that the time he had off was warranted so they can't say anything about that.
I'm hopeful that everything will be settled before christmas and that we will be able to go on our holidays in jan with it behind us.
Have a good weekend everyone x0 -
can understand you wanting to move on from it...these things are stressful and having gone through it twice do wonder whether its worth the money on balance! Hope you have a good day...thought of you when I put the washing on!! One of my lovely cats is psychotic and is having a wee on anything white and todays target was the clean sheets that were hanging up...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
