This sounds interesting.
What are the true upfront cost, is it just the CRB Check and the Tel/Headset? does everything else come out of your earnings?
Is the £200 just for the first 60 hours then?
At what stage in the process will you need a landline, as we don't have one currently, and I am reluctant to get one installed unless I have already got the job?
What happens with holidays?
At what stage in the process do you get an interview?
Thank you0 -
This seems like a good idea, I have a background in customer service so would be suited to this.
A couple of queries though for anyone that might answer them.
Is a home phoneline acceptable or does this need a dedicated 2nd line? My current home phone is only really used for my broadband and ringing my parents occasionally.
Best to get a second line for this, as you are not allowed to have call features like caller display etc on themIs a business account mandatory? And does this have to be specific to myself? IE my father has a business account that he has recently stopped using, would that do?
Its not really necessary, just a lot easier if you can seperate business form householdBeing self employed and VAT registered, is this as a business or VAT registering yourself?
VAT register yourselfWhat are the opening hours? I work a 9-5 so would be available from 6 in the evenings and at weekends, do they need people at those times?
8 till 8 I think 6 days a week, will get back to you if they are open on sundays as I don't knowNext the 1 week of 9-5 training, what sort of intensity are we talking? I am having a knee op at somepoint in the next few months and was thinking if I could do the training from home I could do this 1 week 9-5 then rather than taking other time off work.
They do evening trainings as well from 6pm until 10pm but that is for 7 days rather than 5, its quite intense and you have a lot to take in.And lastly how are those already doing this getting on? Are people hitting £10+ an hour or is it more like 5 or anyone hitting £15+??
Starting tomorrow so can't answer this question, but will let you know how I get onExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

CRB check unless you have one already so you can use that, tel.headset I got from an ebay seller for less than £50 and you will need to pay for the training, but that comes out of your first 3 pay packets.littleange_com wrote: »Is the £200 just for the first 60 hours then?
This is a bonus for completing 60 hours of work with bgs, its not for every 60 hours of worklittleange_com wrote: »At what stage in the process will you need a landline, as we don't have one currently, and I am reluctant to get one installed unless I have already got the job?
Well I got one installed to start training, I think you really do need it as you can start work immediately, because once you pass the test you can start, if you don't have a dedicated line you can't start until its installedlittleange_com wrote: »What happens with holidays?
You book them in advance on the system you are working with, you work when you want, though it does depend on availabilitylittleange_com wrote: »At what stage in the process do you get an interview?
When you pass the the systems test things you need to do, and when you submit your answers to certain questions over recorded voicemailExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

Thanks for that taffy.
Will give this some serious consideration now! Just realised though that my laptop is dual core 1.5ghz, I take it this won't pass. Luckily I have a higher spec desktop that I was about to sell. Will put that on hold! Might see if they offer the free PC first though!
Excellent response to my questions, let me know how you get on.A+L Loan £168 Hitachi Loan £0 Bank of dad £19,664

I bought my PC this year and it looks like it's too advanced, so I failed the hardware test. I think you need XP, whereas mine has Vista. Plus I have a touchscreen monitor which is not allowed either.
Sounds like the only way I would be accepted is if I downgradeMy Mind Not Only Wanders..... Sometimes I Lose It Completely.....0 -
Has anyone been accepted using Vista, and how about 64bit Vista?
I guess I could dual-boot or use VMware or something.0 -
Is anyone having probs with the disk ? I know for a fact that VPN is enabled on my PC but it seems that you have to make some adjustment on the router settings but I don't know what - can anyone help ?
I will post this onto the Tecchy Site of the Forum if no one here can help.
What disk? Am I missing something?0 -
Makes no difference what version of windows you have, you don't use it you use linux from a bootable dvd, and you failed on the touchscreen they don't allow that, and having vista makes no differnce
