I'm wary of these OTE type jobs - if your caught up on long calls your hourly rate plummets - 4 x 15 min calls would get you £4.80...yippee

you are wrong there mate, its all incoming calls only there are no outgoing calls that you make on your phone, if you do make external calls its through their system like voip! its a very complex setup and you are only paying line rental

I'm quite interested in this and have had a look at their website. I know that you have to sign up for 10 hours per week, however can you choose your own hours or do they stipulate when you work? Also, is there a minimum number of hours you must do at a time, or could you do 2 hours a night over 5 nights?

    Thanks for your help.

The_JinJ answered your question for you, you can choose your own when you are available, but that is not guaranteed work, they will work the hours around your needs, and the longer you have that you can mark available the better.

for example I have marked down the following

    9.00am - 2.30pm
    3.30pm - 8.00pm

now I won't get all those hours but I will get enough to make money, also you can take breaks when you want in that schedule, like to have lunch go to toilet etc

    hope that helps

But you get £1.20 a call - it could last 15 mins or 15 seconds - same amount earned either way. So as long as you got 6 minute calls and a steady stream you'd be on target for £12/h

now I understand, got the wrong answer for you above sorry, yes calls could last 15 minutes depending on the amount of time spent, but they are averaging about 10 calls an hour each on average lasting 6 minutes, if one lasts 15 minutes in an hour the next could last 20 seconds, you'd get paid the same of course, but if you are on a call for 15 minutes chances are you can make a sale, if you do you get a £1 a product!

Also on the 20 second call you go back on the system for the next call, as a poster above mentioned they are inundated with calls, so you can make money on what ever call you make, and over the course of time it all averages out anyhow.

Probably a daft question but do you get customer training or is it some other kind of training? I have had a little customer experience but a job like this would be perfect and I would certainly pay for the training.
    All help appreciated

you get full training on all their products and how to use their systems, if you can speak to people at their level and pc literate you should do fine. The trainings cost £90 but that is taken out of your first 3 salaries, £30 a time I suppose.

Go to their website and fill in everything there, its quite simple, they will contact you in a few days after.

Also just thought i'd add that you need a decent spec pc, a phone and headset, landline, and thats it, you don't need the web cam they state, or the finger print reader for working british gas.
