You should go to the presentation evening this Monday. It will be worth while.0

I have started doing this as well, it looks very promising, the downside is registering for vat, I am self employed already doing something else, and this will fit around that, as there is no conflict, but when you register for vat your accounting bill goes up as its more complex doing the books etc, but its all deductible on the business, so really thinking about it there is no downside
anyway, as some people have asked about the spec of the computer, the link below tells you what you need
http://www.contractxchange.co.uk/02jobSeekers/computer_specs.html
I done my initial training last week by the way, it lasts 2 days and gets you familiar with the system contractexchange uses, then you got a rather intensive 10 days or so of learning at your own pace modules to go through by BGS, with tests like multiple choice questions etc, you must complete and pass this before you move onto the next stage, and that is training by BGS on their systems and sales, that takes a week 9-5, the initial training is done online and over the phone to canada, don't worry though you ring an 0800 number here for it.
Also the week long training is done the same way, with the 0800 number and online. All in all its been done very well, there are teething probelms here and there, like passwords not working etc, but they are niggles!
Looking forward to having a flexible working from home business, and I will let you know how it goes, and my outlay is below:
£90 - training
£43 - phone and headset - on eBay why buy new?
£11.50 a month phone line - deductable on business
£100 - on a new monitor - not needed but hey
and thats it, and by the way your broadband cost is deductible, part of your electric and gas in the house, i believe part of your rent/mortgage also, working from home has many advantages also.
Anyway will let you know as I said!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Hi. Five days ago I had an e-mail saying I would be contacted by B.G. for an interview but havent heard yet. How long did it take for those of you that have had one?0
-
Thanks for the info Taffy.
I received an email mentioning I had made it through to the phone interview stage and I am awaiting a date from them.
A question if anyone can advise that has done the training...
Does the quoted £10-12 seem realistic? And having to be VAT registered is that £10-12 + VAT or Inclusive of VAT when you get paid?0 -

it took 4 or 5 days after they said I would be contacted, they will be in touch I promise!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

the price is plus vat, but there is an option for them to withhold the vat for you so you don't have to find it to pay the revenue, I would suggest that you do it that way, because you won't miss the money to pay them afterwards. Also there is an option to withhold some money back to use as you wish, I am holding back about 20% so I can deal with all tax issues, plus to have a few quid at the end of year. All this money can be in your bank sharpish if you need to withdraw it for any reason!Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. Thanks Taffy,
I guess you could go onto the VAT flat rate scheme and then you would be getting a little extra yourself from the VAT as you may only be paying 10-11% on the flat rate scheme.0 -
I'm wary of these OTE type jobs - if your caught up on long calls your hourly rate plummets - 4 x 15 min calls would get you £4.80...yippeeNeil0

I'm quite interested in this and have had a look at their website. I know that you have to sign up for 10 hours per week, however can you choose your own hours or do they stipulate when you work? Also, is there a minimum number of hours you must do at a time, or could you do 2 hours a night over 5 nights?
Thanks for your help.Competition Wins :j :

I asked the online help all this - skirted around it a bit and kept saying training will cover it.
BG ask for min 10 hours and apparently can be made up of any combo of days/hours.Neil0
