Thanks for your reply, however i should have been clearer in what i meant, i was meaning more along the lines of how many hours are available for you to work as allocated by the company.

You can work as many hours as you want, you must work at least 15 hours and they do give you a certain amount of automatically, you set your availability say from 9am-5pm each day and they will assign say 15 hours of that, then you can go and pick up hours and choose as many as you want, you do this on what they call the shift board on the website, there are normally more hours than people so you have no problems there.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

yes upto now I have been able to work what hours I felt like, and even picked up a couple of hours when I had some unexpected free time and nothing else to do.You can work this anyway you want, I for example start at 9am until 2pm then come back for 4pm till 6pm on most week days 35 hours a week is enough for me. I am believe it or not also doing another business that I fit around this also, but that is mostly weekend work and pays more ;) all in all this position allows me to make money when otherwise I wouldn't.

I had forgotten about this and submitted mine with wireless enabled even though the ethernet clearly shows as primary! I do agree that it is not always obvious when they fail the test, though I have found the live text people very helpful.

so we must not connect wirelessly?! thats frustrating...i guess i could connect via ethernet for the test and use wireless after that...but that would be rather dishonest!

I guess thats me out then!

thing is when you are using their software I don't think it allows you to connect wireless so even if you just do it for the test you won't be able to work without it, don't you think you could do it via ethernet all routers have the required connections.

Grr frustrated now. I have passed all the tests only for the evening course that was available in a few weeks to have become fully subscribed and there is only 1 daytime course showing now.

Left with the option of booking time off work or hoping that another evening course comes along. And still have the chance that booking time off might not matter if the daytime course fills up!

Feel really fed up with myself for not remembering to turn the wireless adapter off on Tuesday!

Does anyone have any inside knowledge on forthcoming courses?

Seeing as you need a dedicated phoneline for this, as i already have a bt phoneline are there any cheaper ways of getting a new line other than bt's extortianate £125 charge?

VOIP might be an option. Not for me I don't think but might be a go'er for you.

Will they let you use VOIP? That's what we were using prior to getting this landline installed.

When I asked if my current line could be used (only has ADSL on it, phone line is otherwise unused) I was told no, needs to be a dedicated line with nothing else on it at all or VOIP. This was by the live chat agents a few days ago.
