Is all the training only in the evening and at weekends?

Sorry for asking so many questions I don't have much confidence at the moment so would like to be as prepared as I can.

My landline is being installed tomorrow and then I might apply :eek:

How long is it before they would normally contact you?

Looking at the schedule on their website they do 2 types, mon fri -9 -5 or mon fri 6 -10 then 9-5 sat and sun.

Well I passed my interview! Now to get the ball rolling on training, VAT registration etc.

I would just add the woman told me they have 3 courses left this year then they shut down the training until March. I guess they don't want total n00bs on the phone in the winter months! So anyone else thinking of doing this it sounds like it is either do it sharpish or be prepared to wait 5 months.

I've just gone to apply and it says I have to submit a voice script - looks like a kind of interview - is this the interview or is there another one on top of this?

Also is says I need a webcam?

No the voice script is like an initial stage, I guess if you can't speak then theres not much hope for being a call taker! There is a fuller interview a bit later.

And no you don't need a webcam.

Is it required to have 17" monitor? or can the smaller ones be used as well.

you need at least 17in and I would recommend at least 19in, I have one and you can just about do the job, in fact I would say it would be better to get a larger monitor maybe 21in.
