is that a guess or is that from Dell?
Pure guess Matey ;D0 -
To pass the time why not think of reasons why we are mad that Dell did not get our projectors out on time (This is just fun, if my Woollies profit turns into a Projector then WOW if not nothing lost)
" I Was going to do a presentation to Bill Gates on a week Monday on how to make XP safe to use"
" I was going to do a presentation to Tony Blair on how to make the roads safe without Speed camera's"
and so on (guess this will far flat on it's ears anyway)0 -
hey Babbler, what did they tell u at the end?
Just this - sorry for those who have read it but Gameplayer did ask
"Our system shows there is a pricing problem wtih this order. It is currently with the internet team who are looking into it. I have passed it on to them to "process". They will give you a ring by the end of tomorrow to explain what has happened."
I am thinking they will offer the product at a different price.Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
I was going to do a presentation to Virgin Megastores Annual Conference on "Making Your Terms and Conditions Watertight" followed by another; "Distance Selling Regulations - Your Obligations To The Public".0

And I haven't heard since. Probably call me tomorrow. Then again they may "lose my details..."Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0

Will they--Wont they?
I guess we all enjoy the thrill of the chase but I think the fox is getting away from us this time. Still,a week of drooling over a £20 projector is stressing me to hell. Beginning to think I would welcome a cancellation letter!!
Ah well--think positive.Guest.0 -
nah, I've got better things to do with my timeYou'll Never Be Rich Working for Someone Else0

Just to clear up my post about business, another poster had mentioned that the featured special was in the business section - I noticed that so ordered for my business.
I am hoping to get one (plus some flying pigs i ordered ;D)
I hope that others do to whether ordered as a business or not. I guess that Dell *could* use the fact that many were personal orders as a means of cancelling them just by saying 'this is a special for businesses and you had not right ordering it'. If anyone does get anything like that please let me know as it would be a weapon for me!
The way I would have handled it if I was Dell PR is... "Sorry all, it is a mistake, here is a voucher against a future spend" and tighten up my T&Cs and kick the web admin up the bum. Sure would be cheaper than dishing out the equipment OR pi$$ing loads of people off.
Still, good luck all!0 -

Dell HR on how to employ competent Web Page design staff0 -
I'm sure I ordered mine through Home & Home Office. There is now an offer of 15% off this exact projector here
http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/default.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1
on the left hand side, valid until 29/12/04. Price is £1,012 inc VAT and is flagged as a new product.
My 2p says this will be the offer.
Dave
