sorry but I am on a low income £94 aweek to live on but I manage and I pay my Licence so why can't other's it gets right up my nose...when people don'tTV Licence is just another tax like any other. If you work you have to pay NI and income tax once you get over the thresholds. If you don't agree with paying NI then don't pay it and in the end you go to gaol.
It's the same with the TV licence. Don't pay it and watch TV anyway. One day the licenciing people will come over. Try saying all that rubbish about the Treason and Fellony Act to the magistrate and see where it gets you!
Plans for 2009
1/ Get fit. 2/ Get my figure back. 3/ Get the MAN BACK! :kisses2::happylove

so he is now sat there waiting for the detector vans to zoom in on him...lol...I find this so funny...
As 'detector' vans don't actually detect anything (they just drive them around council estates with "Detector Van" in big letters to intimidate the residents) and Noel doubtless lives at the end of a large drive with big gates and security staff, the chances of this happening are nil.

What if inflation continues to rise, when the cost of your bills, food and fuel, water, sewage, phone comes to more than £94 per week.sorry but I am on a low income £94 aweek to live on but I manage and I pay my Licence so why can't other's it gets right up my nose...when people don't
Will you still be supporting an organisation who badger and terrorise you, on your doorstep, just because Johnathon Ross et al who you might not even watch, wants his part of his £18 million quid payday bonanza, from your tiny dribble of money, the shrinking income you have left after the 2% fake inflation rate has seen gas and electricty bills shoot up by 200%, food shoot up by 150%, council taxes, and everything else up?? Non payment still getting up your nose?
so says another ordinary mug fighting the 1% who own the political machine grinding them down from on high...

Why do we have to pay this 'BBC tax'? That's what it is!
I pretty much hate all BBC stuff(arrogant organisation-we're the BBC you know!) apart from Radio 2 Jeremy Vine who I listen to and like a lot.
For example why did the monopolies and mergers commission break up British Gas in the 1990's but they allow the BBC to be the big shot and payment is mandatory?!!! Why is it ok to break up one large dominant firm in one industry but allow one free range in another industry? Still a big dominant firm.
I was raging when I learned that I am paying Chris Moyles £600,000 (Radio 1 'DJ' and general arrogant waster). Any other aspect of life, if I don't like it, I don't need to eat it/go there/watch it/do that etc. But with the BBC, I MUST pay them even though I only watch Sky channels.
Let's say you like Burger King and dislike McDonalds and never eat McDonalds but a law is made that says you must pay McDonalds any time you want to eat a Burger King.
The BBC 'Tax' should be abolished and they advertise like the rest for their funds and if wirst came to the worst and I have to pay a TV firm, fair enough, but I'd rather choose who.0 -

I think in the long run the licence is doomed in its present form, and I genuinely hope that all who moan on here fill in the consultation documentation regarding the licence fee, links to which have been posted elsewhere.0 -
Half of the reason I listen to it is to at least get something for my money! To completely boycott the BBC and still pay for it fully would bother me even more.
Why can't I pay a (far cheaper) BBC radio license instead of a TV one?0 -

No idea - suggest it to the BBC/Government or someone who can do something about it0 -
If I post my views on the internet then maybe hundreds or more people will read them, discuss it with friends, family, workmates, and THEN if there are a lot who feel the same then I'll spend my time writing in. As it stands I know 100% that it is a waste of my time writing in.
Another thing I have noticed here. Why is it ok to claim back bank charges(people's own mistakes usually for being poorly organised with money, yet they all knew the rules or didn't chose to read them) BUT it's not ok to complain about being forced to pay a company you don't want to i.e. the BBC?0 -
The TV went last year and I don't miss it a bit. I probably miss Beeb programming more than anything though that is more because I have an aversion to adverts - finance in particular. More so since hour long programmes started having three advert breaks rather than two.
I'm sure the Beeb could more than make up for licencing with their Archives if they could sort out their copyright issues. Not to mention capping what they are prepared to pay for expensive programming.
They can come knocking on my door for a radio licence if they like.:j
The downside is I am now hopeless at TV questions in the pub quiz.:eek:0 -
At one time in England, it was illegal to practise Roman Catholicism. People died for their faith. Many are now canonised. Because of the brave Catholic recusants, people in England today have the right to practise the Faith of our Fathers.
My family are TV licence reusants and have not had a TV licence for 18 years, and because of our actions, people in the future will be free to watch the idiot box without being harrassed by BBC/Crapita thugs.
Yours sincerely
