Stop paying your TV Licence fee NOW???

Do away with the bbc , still have to pay a licence fee , cant believe that no one has said it but the fee isnt just for bbc.Its also a licence to recieve ANY broadcasts through the ariels of the uk.
I agree though can it altogether , do away with the minority of the minority programming thats watched by four people and only partially understood by one of them.If it has to pay its way then maybe tv will get more payg shows catering for the fast food tv dumb masses , perhaps more shows like big brother and third rate celebrities on ice factor.
I am not interested in the majority of the programs on the bbc , neither do i watch nor listen to the radio.I am not a black transgender jewish lesbian sheepdog trialer that only speaks gaelic , so why should I pay to make these programs with my fee.
I know what to do , kill the tv just like the old days , no daytime tv at all for all the spongers that certain folk on here hates so much.I dont have kids neither so no kids tv programs as they dont actually pay for the licence in the first place so they are spongers too , and it will get them out the 8loody house actually playing games that arent on cds.Put every tv program on during the day as schooling , like back in the 70s.
Get Jeremy and the boys at top gear to do programs where the cars they review what the viewer can actually afford.Get them to go about the real car scene and appraise the only manufacturing done in the UK , ie young guys sticking spoilers on former old ladies 1 litre exmotability cars.
Get woss to go out and about interviewing old ladies in the street instead of celebs , and listening to how he never had it so hard , while they moan about what he said to that nice spanish bloke from fawlty towers that they never actually heard.
Lastly only facist states have a national tv broadcasting station that answers to no one , and dictates what it will show.I think that the bbc has proved that it will only show what it wants , when it wants and to whom it wants. Its Time to ban all fund raising at the bbc , and their "pet" ones also.If its good for one , its good for all.Have you tried turning it off and on again?0 -

I'm sorry i did use all free to the rest of the world to hypothetically strengthen my point...sorry did i tread on some sensitive toes there? Not my toes if that is what you are implying
If ranting is deciding that i wish to make my comments known -ahem...erm...on a comment board about unfair financial charges on a financial 'money saving' website then you are right..ive lost the plot..well done for pointing it out. you changed everything. A real paradigm shift moment for me. Hurrah!! -now where's my union jack?
I personally find that if you make up "facts" to support your argument it tends to lessen the effectiveness of that argument.0 -
It would be lovely not to pay it but in all honesty it's not like it's hundreds a year like water which in my opinion should be a lot cheaper due to us needing it to survive but hey ho!0

about 4 years ago the bbc bosses all on 6 figure salaries decided after cutting a few hundred jobs at the beeb to reward themselves with 30% pay rises all paid for by the licence fee
not content with this they then stated that the licence fee was not enough and would have to be increased in order for the bbc to maintain and surpass it's current high standards
i decided there and then that they would not get my money and unplugged my tv
it was an interesting experiment to see if i would miss the tv - i do not
i have rediscovered the radio for which you do not need a licence and of course there is the internet
could i manage without the radio ? which is paid for by the tv licence - yes
the little bit of tv i do watch at other peoples houses convinces me that i am missing nothing apart from dads army repeats - so i have bought the complete dvd collection0 -

Funded by.... the advertising that it carries I imagine
Never mind all the people watching iPlayer on the internet via proxies from otehr countries. It was never going to be secured to the UK.
I agree that people who know how to do it can watch the iplayer from outside of the UK.0 -
MyMatebob - it doesnt take long to see why you have so many posts...you seem to be officiating this thread. Nice that you granted the last post. Now all i need to do is convince you of the FACT you disparaged to the absolute FACT that certain countries overseas watch the BBC for free - hence the FACT remark. Simple really and equally scandalous in my sincerely humble opinion.0

You said the BBC was "all free to the rest of the world" - that is not a FACT
If you feel it helps then carry on making things up:rotfl:0 -
Yes you are right...but like the wee boy in the school yard who focuses on the error of a fellow school kid for saying one thing wrong then mocks... when the context of the argument was something other than that i grant you your shallow victory..its a bum rap...pah! you said bum!!
the facts yes the FACTS remain but you can decide to keep bypassing them as you have done all along. Its best not to write much more as you concentrate on anything but the point being made.0 -

Not only did you state something was a fact when it is not, you posted earlier that you did so to "hypothetically strengthen" your point. So you made something up to make your argument stronger; it was not an error as you seem to indicate, it was an attempt to mislead.
If you want to debate based on facts I am more than happy to do so.
And typing the word "fact" in capitals doesn't necessarily make what you have said a fact.0
