Today we shall be spending a day in the kitchen making bits for Packed Lunches as DD1 back to School tomorrow and DD2 back at School Wednesday. Need to make Wraps, hobnobs, cheese straws etc.

Well goood morning everyone <<hugs to PHilsmum>>
Today is the 1st September and we are all going to buckle down and do our best to save our cash aren't we ?
I have £50.00 for food alone and I am hoping that I will manage o,k, with that.
I have a freezer that is full to the brim, and two cupboards full of tinned stuff so it shouldn't be too hard .I haven't included cleaning stuff ,as I sorted out my cupboard under the sink and its also stuffed full of things.I can't believe I had so many things in the cupboards. Its because when I have been to the supermarket ,like a lot of us on here I seem to just throw thinngs into the trolley without thinking. So this month Mr T will be short of one half-asleep little old woman. I have roughly budgetted for about £1.80 per day .I'm off to greenwich Park with five of my grandchildren today for a picnic so hopefully my DD and I can stick to the budget. I am taking a cool-box with some frozen jubblies in to keep the food cool. I only have to buy some soft rolls this morning as I have plenty of fillings in the fridge .DD will bring the crisps, squash and cake so I just provide the rolls.
Fingers crossed that we can stick to the budget
Good luck everyone0 -
I can't believe there are already 22 pages!
I am in for £300 this month. We had our first delivery from Mr T on Friday having planned the menu for this week. Not sure how it will go - but you have to try. I am expecting in just over 5 weeks and have 'munchy days' which may throw a spanner in the works!
Currently there is hubby, DD who is 13 on Monday (oh joy! teenagers!), DS who is 12 in 4 weeks (not quite hollow legs yet, but can eat bananas like they are going out of fashion!) and weeble me.
This is the first month, so would like to try and stabilise spending this month, with a view to starting to reduce it from next month.First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250
