Goodness - p20 and it's not even September.
Just popping in to post first amount - went to Mr T and also bought some veg from a garden locally - they were selling patty pan squashes for 25p each. I bought 2 because they looked so fab -= came home and googled them to see what they were called. Don't know how to do a link but they are kind of like flying saucers. Also bought 4 marrows and some onions for chutney. Last time I just bought 1 marrow and ended up making it into a chilli but this time I've got enough.
Anyway, enough marrow talk, I'm off to read through and see what you good people are up tp

I have grown patty pan this year..bright yellow ones -they are really easy to grow too:T ..I think they are nicer than courgettes as they seem firmer and are a lovely "useable" size-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

HI all
I have spent the day on and off reading all the posts, (from page 9).
I have been writing down all the bits I wanted to say, rather than replying to the individual posts.
The came accross the post where someone said about putting it all in one post rather than several.
I have put on Aug GC but will put it here too
Can I go for 200 pound for Sept month please, 50 pound a week.
And I came in under budget at 170.25 :j :j :j
We did a family day out yesterday to a local town, not our normal one and got the school shoes, had lunch out, bought a Chimnea and a new kettle.
My kettle is a energy saving one, has the cup markings 1 up wards, and has lines going up at an angle so when filling with it at an angle you know where say 1 cup is, cool.
Today we went to our town and got ds1 his trainers, and had lunch out again, but this time it was at mcdonalds.
I read the post about kids having 3 in a week, awful in my opinion. We haven't been to Mcdonalds for ages so it was a treat. (I won't allow us to have too often)
But all this was paid for by hubby so not affecting my shopping budget.
with my sig I already say we have 2 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs on 50 pound a week, used to have kids ages but can't remember if I still do or not, but I know what was meant about comparing what the different families spend.
It is interesting to know.
Wanted to say thanks for the recipes, I make flap jacks but just add dried fruit, I am excited about making the ones with the seeds in, the big cake someone posted a photo of, pear and cinnamon crumbles, was getting bored of apple crumble and blackberry and apple crumble.
The rice about turning the gas out, I will try during the week, thank you.
I will be looking at the flylady and freezing/cooking thread, and quick questions,Thank you.
I looked today while in Mr A's so I now know where to go for my kidney beans tomorrow
angelnikki, Thanks for info about freezing the flour, do you freeze it in it's own bag or put it in to freezer bags ?
ifonlyitwaseasier, very lovely photos,
Didnt see if someone had replied to (cant remember sorry) NSD is no spend day.
Oh and thanks for recipe for the fruit bars/cereal bars, I already make flap jack and add dried fruit, but am very interested in the ones with seeds.
Guess what i'm going to be doing over the next few days,
Have updated my sig, and ready for the Sept challenge, all geared up to go, just got to do my menu and shopping list.
Any way enough waffle from me

Hi, can you put me down for £200 this month? Ta!0

ooh flapjacks with seeds in - another food that I can think of as healthy but is actually a bit naughty as well
Just popping in to declare £68.70 of my £80 budget gone. Which sounds ridiculous but I'm home alone for the next week then off on hols. I'm trying to use up all the food that would go off while we're away and I have a full fruit bowl so I shouldn't need anything beyond a tub of yoghurt. And that will leave me a tenner or so to buy some fruit when I get back. The cupboards are pretty much full at the minute and I stocked up on all our cleaning stuff so I'll be hoping for a lean October as well....this might finally be the month I don't go over budget0 -
Well last month was quite good for the first time I took part, I only overspent by£45. This month I am going to have a budget of £300. Tomorrow and Tuesday should be NSD's, so my week should get off to a good start. Good luck to you all. This month since there are four full weeks I will take the cash of £75 out every Wednesday to do the week and leave the switch card at home. My freezer is chocablock so we will try to use that up as much as possible so I can start at the beginning of October to look towards Christmas shopping.Every days a School day!0
