  • Hi
I am declaring Sept as on budget as I have lost a few small receipts but am sure I will still be under but an on tartget total of 200.00 will do for me.

Will go for 200 again in October as this seems the right amount for us.
Not posted much this month as with all the birthday excitement things got overwhelming. Hope to keep up with it all in October.
Thanks to everyone looking after this thread, I don't know how you manage it.

HI can I declare on £154.20! Really pleased, spent next to nothing, just milk, this week so doing ok. I was tempted to treat myself with the leftover money, but it can stay in the bank.
    Thanks

  • I am trying a new approach for October since I failed so miserably last month. I have transferred £230 over to my pre-pay mastercard, and this is for TESCO, and nothing else, I am going to use voucher codes where possible and home delivery only to avoid over spending on what l see when in store. The other £70 of my shopping budget is for the butchers and hopefully our local farm will open again soon for lovely fresh cheap veggies. So I hope this will work for me this month.

Ideally in November I would like to spend £200 instead of £300 and carry the other £100 over to December for the festivities, here's hoping!

My bargain this week was 18 free range eggs for 60p (20p for 6 at the CO_OP) they are in date until 2nd October so we will be having egg beans and chips a few times this week and also pancakes (yum!) x
  • Well after some great whoopsies again last time we went to Asda (a £5 chicken for £1.50! Rolled pork roast for 75p! Granary rolls for 5p each! etc) and some careful planning we have spent only £120 of our £200 budget :) Done rather well for our first go methinks.

We have decided to go for a budget of £160 next month as this month's was more out of necessity (ie we did not have £200 spare) and it would be nice to have a little more breathing space. But I am hoping eventually to shave more off the budget.

Mmmm..I can smell the sausage casserole that's in the slow cooker right now..divine!

Hope everyone had a great month, here's to a cheap October! (God is it October already?!?!) xxx

  • Oh..and I am not declaring yet as we have about £15 left and we are off to Asda this afternoon but OH has to get razorblades at about £7 a go so I may spend the remaining £8 on whoopsies!! Those yellow stickers are calling me!! :D

Not quite the total disaster i thought i'd had. Just finished adding up my recipts n i would like to declare £139.00 for the month, so an overspend of £29.00. I thought it was much more than that. Fresh start next month
