Hello Denise
Im tickity boo thankyouhope you are well too...Just trying to not post waffle ...which means im quiet :rotfl:
Anyway -whilst im here...
Nipped out earlier and got mum the tefal vitafruit jam maker for £40 instead of nearly£80 :T ... they also had one of the big pans that plug into the electric for sticking your jars of pickles etc in to heat up and preserve them longer... on sale at €30 .. I made myself come away but i might be making myself go back for 1 :rotfl: for that price its not worth the faff or the risk or wrecking my le creuset pans  ..if i got that -once im back in the UK me n mum would have our preserving needs covered -could save us a fortune.. and freezer space.... Plus I really need to get mum to take me through all her recipes for jams, pickles etc -and I know they are all stored in her head..so I need to get them down on paper with all the other recipes I have inherited from her ..If I don't use them and pass them along they will die out eventually
Whilst I was there I picked up another tray of baked beans for the store, a tray of passata -even though I have enough roast tomatoes to sink a battle ship :rotfl: well I can use that for hubbies batches of chilli and goulash soup for winter ...ooh and 6 tins of corned beef.. its €1.29 a tin in the supermarket... just seen it in the NAAFI -€2.35  I can get a chicken for not much more than that
right I had better get off to my knittingi now have 36 rectangles to my blanky :j .....
have a great evening everyone
ooppps forgot to add -Im sulking..nipped to the chinese supermarket earlier and it has gone  ..so i was going to order my noodles, suet, pulses etc on line... but think I wil price em up via asda etc and check postage then ask my lovely mum to send me a food parcel -I can transfer the money to her
hmm off to check that out-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Now up to £220.76 with a £60 delivery due from Tesco on Saturday. Not sure I can manage, but I will certainly try!
The business has paid for quite a lot of fuel this month so that has turned out really low.
I sat down yesterday and put everything we spend on a spreadsheet - it was quite enlightening. I have showed it to OH. I think it will help control our spending over the next few months as we adjust to living on maternity pay!
Been cleaning the house today, which is hard work, but hubby has made canneloni for tea. I have washed most things within an inch of their life and I know there is a bed under that mess somewhere!First Direct Loan @ 7.9% £13,076.03/£20,250

Looks like everyone is having a better month than me! I still have 8 days to go and I'm already £12 over my budget! On the positive side, my meals are pretty much planned for the next 8 days and I will only need to top up with the odd bit of fresh fruit and veg. I'm also chuffed because I have only used half of my petrol budget (this is a separate budget) this month:A, so overall things will probably even out.
No real bargains or whoopsies to report on. BTW watch out for deals on fruit in Mr Ts. I had a bad experience with half price nectarine's from Mr T's - they were awful. It said they were "Ready to Eat" but they were definitely not ripe. When they finally 'ripened' they were all powdery and tasted like cardboard! A complete waste of money!!! I should complain really, but I have no trip to Mr T's planned soon.
Anyway...off to have HM veggie curry for tea (made last night in the slow cooker). Have a great evening / week everyone.GC May £178/£250 NSD0 -
Sorry for posting twice in one day, but just had to spread the news that my tomato plants now have 2 ripening tomatoes on them :j And I already picked one at the weekend - now that they've started, hopefully there'll be no stopping them!! My runner bean plants (from which I have so far had 4 beans) also have loads of beans just coming up to being ready to pick. Seems my veggies are like buses - all or nothing
Has anyone in the South West or thereabouts seen pickling onions yet? Spoke to Mum, who's up in the North West, last night and she asked if I'd got some yet as she has seen them in her local Mr M. I've not seen any down here, but I've only been in Mr T recently. Dunno if there are regional variations in when they appear in the shopsIf there's a chance of finding some, I may venture to Lidl or Aldi on my lunch break tomorrow as OH loves his pickled onions and I've promised to have a go at making him some (and bought lots of mouthwash in readiness for the onslaught of dragon breath
)
Oops, nearly forgot - has anyone tried freezing "The One" milk? I think Cravendale says it shouldn't be frozen, but wasn't sure if The One would be the same? I might stock up since it's still £1 for 2l in Mr T.You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

And don't forget, pass them on to us and then they will last forever

Hi Everyone.
Just to let you know that as of tomorrow, Asda will be reducing every single item of their price right range, and also lots of other items, 5000 in total.
Their pledge is that if you buy any of their products that you do not like they will give you your money back, no questions asked. Also all products are free from additives and artificial colouring.
May be worth having a look.
Hope everyone is OK.
Just made a veggie dish with a gift of a very large marrow, I cut it into rings and chargrilled on G.F. Layered it in dish with Tomato sauce, grated cheddar & parmesan, scattered basil leaves on and the repeated. Baked in oven for 40 mins 200 deg. It was really tasty.
Keep up the good work.:ADebt free from April 2012:T:T:T:T:j:j:j:j0 -
Hi Everyone!!
Wanted to read my last post and I think it was deleted. Is that possible, I don't think it was off topic/no clip art, pictures etc... or am I being stupid.
