Has anybody found a number for these jokers. I signed up and had exactly the same bounced back emails. Rang the 0870 One-Tel number and they couldn't help me. I had an email recently, stating that I can login to my account but I don't have an account number! Absolute jokers.

I called the number that Simone found 0870 996 1000 and got a hissy line to a call centre in India. He just asked me the usual questions - phone number, mothers maiden name, size of cats left paw etc and then gave me my account number, so I can log in now. Maybe you were just unlucky and got the wrong person? They answer the phone "onetel" as it's the same company, but if you just tell them you want your justdial account number they should oblige. They really do need to get their email sorted as it's supposed to be a web based offer. Mind you, now I've got it set up I can't complain as I plan to spend precisely £0 with them by using their free calls evening and weekends and setting my orchid dialler to divert daytime calls to 1886 <sp?>. Not my fault they came up with a daft tariff.....

I had read all the doom and gloom above, and had not expected to receive much of a reply to the following:
    Sent: 15 November 2005 20:31
    To: customercare@just-dial.com
    Subject: Premium rate numbers

    Dear Customer Care

Could you please arrange that my phone service has Premium Rate Services
disabled, i.e. ensure that no number beginning 09.. can be dialed from my
    phone?

It's a precaution against diallers getting installed on my PC.

    Thanks
Imagine my pleasant surprise then when only one day later comes the reply:

We've yet to see the result of this offer, but matters gently improving?
  • What a shock I recieved when I answered the phone the other night and the voice at the end states he was from Just Dial. He explained that they have had issues with signing up and did I still want to continue. Looks like I am ready to switch to Just Dial. Such a shame that I didn't get any reply from the emails.

I don't use my home phone that much, but due to the crap nature of customer service with Justdial, I went to TalkTalk. Any calls I do make will be at weekends anyway. 2 more days to go of Justdial, and they won't have had a penny out of me. I'll have cost them money in postage when I made the mistake of joining!

  • Had a reply from Just-dial (within about 12 hours) with details of when evening calls are :

I think most people would be signing up for the Saver Lite package

Please find below the information you requested:
If your plan is Just-Dial option 1, then you are entitled for free weekend
calls. If your plan is Just-Dial Saver Lite, you can get free off-peak
(evening) and weekend calls. If your plan is Just-Dial Saver Max, then you
can get free peak, off-peak and weekend calls. I can confirm that peak calls
    start from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. , evening calls start from 6.00 p.m. to
8.00 a.m. and weekend calls start from Friday midnight to Sunday midnight.

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Just to forewarn you, you will probably be charged £1 for that email query as that information is available on their website and they have a policy in their T&Cs to charge for email queries where the information is readily available on the web, see the bottom of the page below for peak/off-peak details:

  • I received an email syaing that the switch over to Just Dial CPS would take place on the 5th December. So far no switch over and I can't even contact them again. Emails bounce back and they wont answer any queries on the 0870 number.
