just think there are now 8 estate agent who has not sold one this month due to you taking all the quota...1 per month now isnt it for each eaIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
having sold
3 in may,
1 in June
0 in July,
we have sold 8 so far with 2 more offers awaiting sellers response this month!!!, thats more than we would normally sell in any august.
Have prices dropped enough or have people got used to falling prices and taking a long term view? or is it because the papers have stopped reporting about it over the last few weeks?
All have been houses, no flat sales, 1 was a 'buy to rent'.........he's renting it to his kids at uni.
any other ea noticed a change this month?
Surprised ? I'm not. Did the members here really think houses would continue to tumble and no one buy? The British public just can't help themselves, they've come down a bit so now we'll buy. This time next year we'll be back to peak.0 -

The forum wouldn't be healthy without different outlooks and opinions, although in your absence we've had PickledPink fighting your corner.

is this the bit where the cat starts to bounce, interest rates have dropped but recession hasnt kicked in yet?
That's what I was thinking - bull trap.
It's only in the last couple of months that price falls have entered into public consciousness; VIs have been spinning this with 'great time to buy' waffle etc which may have had an effect on some FTBs.'Never keep up with Joneses. Drag them down to your level. It's cheaper.' Quentin Crisp0
