    I've been Money Tipped!
:rotfl: How often do renters use moving firms?
They normally skip out of the door in the dead of night with their black bags in tow.

This non-home owner has booked removal firms for our own purposes:

    1 from Italy to UK
1 from London to SW (both to do with collecting furniture from DH's mother's estate)
1 from London to SW (plus lots, and lots, and lotsof car trips)
1 from my place to DH's when first moved in.

In addition had a firm move some big furniture from home to storage and storage to home, (had about four trips between the two...different neds different times).

All my other moves in th last five years have been done in the car or in a self drive van yes, lots of it in black sacks. Renters in unstable tenancies ar subject to moving regularly, thus moving firms do well from them.

I really, really want to book a moving firm to move it all to th same place very soon, unpack and never deal with it all again.

We have just used a removal firm to help my eldest son move to University, where he (mainly we!) will be renting a place.

    Blimey, really?

When I went to uni, it was a couple of bags and a duvet in my mother's car (-:
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Same here...actually, I got on a train, took a couple of suitcases, grabbed a bus to halls and bingo. A removal firm? I could have probably posted all I took with me with a first class stamp :)

My wife turned up in a car with a roof rack and a potted plant, we all saw her and thought that was excessive!
  • Nah no vested interest...why have you?

    I'm an engineer.

btw - did you see today that nationwide chief is predicting 25% falls peak to trough? It must be pretty bad before he is caving in to a prediction like this. Expect bigger falls than this.

So how does this tally with your earlier prediction of back to peak next year?
