lol - like the footnote.
£10 is only about 55 units a month!? I would be worried if I was using that few units. Are you sure? I use more than that in a week and thats with only tele, a server (55 watts), digibox, 2 energy saving light bulbs, fridge and freezer, 2 loads in the washing machine a week, router, laptop.
I would check by giving accurate meter readings as that sounds far to low!
Nope that is with meter readings given. As the bill had already left and we gave them the correct readings. That is when we told.
My last electric bill was only £39.
As I said we owe £20 so making the bill about £50 ish pounds. We are with ebico.
Perhaps it is because I don't a zillion gadets and don't have a tv etc. Washing machine on average twice a week. A rated fridge Freezer, chest freezer and washing machine.
The last bill back in may was 300 ish (think it was 313) units. And we provide meter readings every time as they over estimate our usage.

Nope - we have showers, other half occasionally has a bath - radiators have been on, on occasion though in an attempt to dry the washing, no tumble dryer and its constantly raining:rolleyes::T :rotfl: Ha Ha ... I did it.... What can i put ???:rolleyes:0 -
If you have teenagers I'm sure the utility bill will be much higher than normal. Hair straighteners and driers, games consoles, tvs in bedrooms - it's an expensive time for parents. The upside is that they'll never use the vacuum cleaner, washing machine or cooker." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

so true - I'm turning into my mum - following DD around saying 'turn' the lights off when you leave a room', 'unplug your hairdryer when you're not using it', 'put a jumper on if you're cold' (she probably doesn't even know what a 'jumper' is!).0 -
Well, this thread has certainly made me think. I opted to pay £30 a month gas when I took the price fix 2011 with Npower. At the moment I'm not using anything like that, but of course winter isn't far away. I really don't like the thought if them just bumping my payments up really high:eek: so I'm going to ring them and get it increased myself. Ie what I think will cover it...0

Some of these figures are unbelievable.
A 3 bed semi, gas and electric for £30 a month?? I just can't see how that is possible.
We have a 2 bed semi, 2 adults, one small child, gas c/h, dual fuel cooker and pay £106 a month for gas + elec. Even 2/3 years ago I think we were still paying about £60/70 per month.0
