Bet you wish you never posted the question????

    Some very harsh replies.....

At least this chap is paying for his kids and a healthy sum to. There are thousands of fathers (and a few mothers) who do not pay a penny to help bring up their kids. So please lay off and give him the advise he requested.

To many people bash the payers and not the players!!

To be fair the OP has got the answer to the question and we have went off topic. Read the comments from this evening however and you will see that they are balanced and mature comments between adults seeing both sides of the coin. We are not 'bashing' the OP
  • id have had a football team if i could have. But to be honest it scares me a bit bringing kids into the world now. seems so much bigger and scarier now-a-days.

hehe thanks for the edit loopy.

maybe with your little one, i know you don't want to hurt her, he's doing enough of that. But i used to cover for my girls dad when he didn't call or canceled seeing her at the last minute. But now i don't i just tell her the very minimal truth, that i don't know why he does it, and give her a hug. Maybe you could just try this with your little one.

He doesn't want to see her at all so I just say that he is very busy with work and she seems to accept that. As time goes on, and if I think she can cope with info, I will tell her a bit more and tell her like you - I just don't know why but it doesn't mean I don't love her. She did ask if he loved her and I replied it is hard to love someone you don't know and she agreed with that.
I have his address so maybe in a couple of years she could write to him...like to be a fly on the wall when he opens that over his cornflakes!!!!!:D

Well said LG:)It's commendable how much the OP is paying for his own child ashers, but there are other ways of paying, not always financial, and PWC do pay highly in these areas too;) :D
