Sorry to hear your girl cant see her dad and that is really bad on his part i mean REALLY bad but like you say you cant make him, some people are just clueless to what precious little kids they have just waiting to give them an unconditional love only a child can give and we wont ever be able to change that.

I do feel sorry for these Dad's (and Mum's!!!) who aren't allowed to see their kids, I really do. I think it's pathetic and childish on the part of the PWC.

But it just breaks my heart as my wee girl is asking all about her Dad and saying 'he might not be busy at work and see me soon Mummy eh?' and I just have to agree with her and there is absolutely nothing I can do.

People say he is missing out and that is true...but so is she too. Don't give a toss about him but I do for my little munchkin who deserves more :)

Hey ... ur dead right. I've got an ex who doesn't pay for her children. However, I don't think loopy Girl meant to discriminate. It is easy to let it roll off the tongue.

There are loads of dads who get a raw deal, and likewise there are loads of mums who give dads ( PWCs) an even rawer deal.

    I know...me bad. I know there are male PWC.:D

    Now, back to tongues!!;)

She has turned out to be a fantasic, clever, well adjusted person, all credit to me and my family:)
That's the BEST thing about being the sole carer!!! My small person is very polite and impeccable manners (exact words on her school report!!) and whenever I get compliment I smugly think that is down to.....ME ME ME!!!!!!!!!:D

I also should have said PWC n NRP, so apologies from me too, as I realise it's not always the women left with the kids[STRIKE]but forget sometimes[/STRIKE];)

Interesting ... I have to disagree to an extent. Perhaps children respond to a situation differently. Some may turn out bitter and nasty because of what is going on around them, yet some do 'prosper' because they learn to atune to two different parents, and the demands that are expected from them. Children are so adaptable, give them the credit due, .. it is us the parents who display the 'failing' emotions expected from, the so-called, chiildren!

  • Perhaps....or it could be that I have drummed it into her from a VERY early age about manners and being polite. In fact now, if she forgets to say thank you to me for something I don't even need to say anything - she gets 'the eyes' and knows!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Bless her she has got trillions of house points for her house at school as she is always opening doors and tidying up.:D
  • hehe thanks for the edit loopy.

maybe with your little one, i know you don't want to hurt her, he's doing enough of that. But i used to cover for my girls dad when he didn't call or canceled seeing her at the last minute. But now i don't i just tell her the very minimal truth, that i don't know why he does it, and give her a hug. Maybe you could just try this with your little one.
  • Bet you wish you never posted the question????

    Some very harsh replies.....

At least this chap is paying for his kids and a healthy sum to. There are thousands of fathers (and a few mothers) who do not pay a penny to help bring up their kids. So please lay off and give him the advise he requested.

To many people bash the payers and not the players!!
