Oh, so Royal Tunbridge Wells is the place which has not been affected by price falls - or is it just your street? Oh, so Royal Tunbridge Wells is the place which has not been affected by price falls - or is it just your street?
You are being very silly and short sighted. The area I watch has a range of houses - those that have reduced by a worthwhile amount have gone under offer. Those whose owners think the prices in their area haven't gone down because everyone wants to live there - are still for sale after months.

            Dear David,
As a fervent supporter of anything Welsh, I must say I am disgusted by most of the entries on this ill-advised foursome, most of which do not appreciate the exquisite ambience of our fine & nubile nation, Cymru.....Wales!
Though not familiar with Tywnbryddge Wells myself, I imagine that it is somewhere near Builth, or Llandrindod which, as I am sure you know, have many fine erections between them, notably in the lay-by on the A483 by Llanellwydd Rocks. Well, the earth certainly moved for me!
Where was I? Ah yes, between a rock and a hard place....Well, indeed that's where most of us home owners are at present. If you reduce your price, your assets are stripped bare, and we all know how cold it can get on a frosty knight in Bangor. In the other hand, if you hold out for all you can get, you may find yourself chasing down the Farmers Market, if you know what I mean.
It's a hard choice and I don't envy you. Rather than give pacific advice I'd just say ignore these price crash preverts and go with the best offer you can get. I always have and I find that hill farmers are definitely the most appreciative.
 Yours truly

has OP considered that the ' rediced price is actually closer to a more realisitic value, rather than the over inflated prices of recent years?Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Gotta be a wind-up although a very funny one. Well done.davidmanna wrote: »Hello all,

However I would like to sell but I'm not prepared to sell at the low prices estate agents are giving me considering what places were going for last year. I'm going to sit it out before selling early next year when prices are more realistic.
Is it wrong to put a fake offer in to stop the sale going through? In the short term it maybe wrong but once prices recover next year my neighbor will be thanking me from saving her from a very stupid mistake.
Also these are period 3 bed houses in Royal Tunbridge Wells in the catchment area for a good school so there is no way they have gone down in price. I understand that new build flats in places like Slough and Luton but they are a world away from my street,
 Thanks
