A house that went for 450k 9 months ago does not go down to being worth just 295k!!!

She only bought it 9 months ago?

No an almost identical house a few doors away was sold for 450k 9 months ago. She's lived there for 4-5 years.

Bottom line your gutted that her house as sold at a price, you think your house is worth a lot more, but in reality its the same as hers.

She will probably be buying another house and that will probably have the same reduction as what shes had to take off hers to sell it.

Make no mistakes you wont be selling your house next year, for more than what she has sold hers for now, people will only pay what they think a house is worth.

Not only this people do look at what price houses go for in your road and theres no way they will be going up in the next 12 months.

I personally think you are selfish in the way your thinking, and there is no way your thinking of her selling her house cheap, your worried about the price of your own house falling, and trust me it will fall, probably another 10% to what she has sold hers for.

Is her neighbour so bad that he has devalued her house to the tune of 35%? She must be desparate to sell!

But what Tunbridge Wells resident would wish to remain next door to someone who can only use an American spellchecker?

    Absolutely.

The neighbor obviously wanted to become a center of attention, you realize...

Ok, if you care about her and have known her a long time then talk to her. There may be reasons that she is willing to take such a low price.

Putting in a fake bid is not an option imho.

Your neighbour IS SELLING AT THE MARKET PRICE, by definition.
  • When we are ready to sell our Spanish home, we will price it below market valuation for a quick sale.

We did the same with our investment flat in 2005 and sold the same day.

I fail to see why it should be someone else's business how much we sell our house for.

Where in Tunny wells is this exactly?
My MIL is trying to sell in TW. Apparently according to the news all the londoners are Moving there!
Its none of your buisness what she sells for funilly enough my neighbours said I paid too little for this house! Just goes to prove, most peeps think their houses are worth more than they are!
35% less than last year does sound like a large drop though.

Ive got my house priced less than 2 others in my road, im 30,000 pound below the one and 20,000 pound below the other and to be honest there is no real difference between my house and theres. But i know one thing they have had 1 viewer since they have been on the market and we have had a few.

I suppose if we sell ours the neighbours will probably say the buyers got a bargain, but i think this time next year house prices will have fell again.

a lot of its, just people being greedy, and theres just no need.
