can't understand those 3-year old (motability) cars

You are correct that the benefit used to pay for Motability would come from the taxpayer, but I'm not entirely sure why everyone seems to be making a big point of this.
I am sure that if you were to break the figures down collectively disabled people contribute/have contributed more in tax than they have received back from the government in benefits many times over.
Are you suggesting that disabled people shouldn't be receiving any money from the government to help them live with their disability? Maybe you think the government has better things to spend taxpayers money on than supporting the vulnerable in this country? Maybe we should stop paying disability benefits and build a new art gallery, save a few furry animals and boost a few of those poor civil servants' pensions?
I think it is sad that that so many people obviously begrudge disabled people an existence in this world, maybe all disabled people should just be shot? Of course if you think it is the easy life then why don't you cut a leg off and join all the disabled people driving round in their brand new motors coining it in from the poor old taxpayer?
I would have posted that if you hadn't said it first:T :TI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Your point being...?
So in the future if anything happens to you( god forbid) making you disabled you will not be claiming any benefit at all, including DLA. I just hope you have enough saved to live on until you die if you are not going to claim any benefit at all.
You seem to have something against genuine disabled people. A lot of disabled people have worked up until they become unable to do so, & they have paid into the system. Also a lot of disabled people still work & pay taxes so are still contributing to Tax/Ni. They are not all in the same position as you who can fund the rest of their life without any help. I just hope it does not happen to you as you will see how much of a struggle it is.
By the way I am a taxpayer & I would rather see the money going towards a genuine non self inflicting cause, than to spend money on lost causes like scourge of the earth Junkies( who most have never worked)

It is my car that's damaged and no, i'm not happy.
Unfortunately, my Motability car has been damaged in 2 places by perfectly able-bodied drivers. (I'm not disabled, my son is)
The first was a white van driver who opened his drivers side door into the top of my passenger door. I know it was a white van because he left a chunk of his paint behind and it has to be a van due to the height of the damage.
The second was a dwarf who obviously couldn't see my car (despite it being a people carrier) and thought they'd rearrange the paintwork on my bumper.
Point is, careless drivers are everywhere and not limited to those driving motability vehicles.Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.

.
I know what you mean, about these inconsiderate dwarfs - they're always rushing around, not paying attention, at this time of year.
Far too keen to get to their temporay Christmas jobs, in Santas Grotto, or the pantomime...
OH NO THEY'RE NOT......(you know your response)

I'm no decrying anyone the right to a benefit. However, it's not the same as money earnt.
Well I'm from the same planet. I also happen to be disabled.
I get a little benefit. I worked 37 year in industry, earnt and paid over the average in taxation. But due to an unforseen accident, am now unable to work in my previous role. So have taken early retirement at considerable cost to myself. If you think the amount I now get is valued any less than the pensions I have earnt, you are a sad individual.
Oh, and I wouldn't dream of taking a mobility car in spite of the fact that I am entitled to one, it does not make the soundest of economical sense inspite of others thing its a freebie.  :mad:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
