It would still be your money, so yes....

I guess the point is when you've worked for the money, you value that money more than you would if it was given to you for nothing.

Although many receipients (I will admit not all) of disability living allowance have worked for maybe 20 - 30 years making national insurance contributions, all they are doing is claiming on this insurance.

How do taxpayers pay for the rest of the repair then?

Yes, but it would also be different.

Regarding vandalism, I had the driver's door glass keyed on my car a few weeks ago. I can't work out any reason for it happening. Maybe they wanted to steal the car but then saw the disk lock.

That's not the same as paying for it with your own money.

God, what planet are you from?

The money is given/claimed as a right.

What should it be spent on in your opinion?
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

If it's run as a self financing scheme at no subsidy whatsoever, why can't anyone join it? There must be some benefit or subsidy attached or it would be open to all.

If you work it out it is done at just over cost, ie, you can save money by going it alone, but it's the easy option for folks that don't like the complexity of sorting a deal themselves;)

I'm well aware that I could be struck down with some illness tomorrow and become a motability customer. Mine is a simple point - money someone gives you as a benefit is not the same as money earnt from working. In terms of personal effort required.

Believe me if you have worked 30 years or so and are forced into poverty, sorry I meant early retirement, you will be very gratefull for this benefit.
