  • I never asked about insurance - moneysaver did and has now hidden somewhere...

    I have not hidden anywhere.

I will not get into a discussion with anyone who comes on this forum who blows their top, who also uses abusive language unnecessary over someones point of view. I was hoping this thread would have an adult input & not some childish behaviour from some of the posters on here.

Edit: I did not ask anything about insurance, I just made a point about it.

You still aint answered my question, Moneysaver...

What question are referring to? Sorry I assumed it was about insurance, but obviously it was about something else.
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

    Why not?

A forum is a discussion forum for anything including where taxes and benefits are spent and how they are spent.

But don't forget that this thread is not about benefits in general, it is about DLA or the use of it. Many recipients of DLA are still in employment and pay thier fair share of taxation. Others may not be in employment but still get thier pensions taxed:confused:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

The thread has opened up in to something a little more than that and as usual the I pay my taxes brigade has surfaced hence my comments, why get hung up on the insurance thing alone?

Don't forget, its is not just DLA claimants that make use of the Motability Scheme. A large number of War Pensioners (myself included) do not get DLA but use the supplement on our War Pensions to get a car on the scheme.

Having lost one leg and part of the other as well as sustained other serious injuries whilst serving in Iraq, I do somewhat resent the tone on some posts that we get a 'free' car for nothing.

I commend you for what you have done for this country.

What some people are saying on this thread is that the tax/Ni that they pay is paying for your car, insurance included. Any money which comes from the Government is paying for your car.( even though you worked for it)

I disagree with this as you have served your country & are entitled to any money you receive.
