Finally caught up-what exhausting work. Now to try sort out my lists and then off to bed. The boys are both faaaast asleep (looks like its me on the sofa tonight:rotfl: )
Today was really tiring-I dont want to do it again anytime soon.
Natty68 Just checked your posts-it was you, you rascal. Right then-coz I did it again this morning and then well, you’ve seen how my day ended up.
Denisefowlers your post about cuddles with DS made me smile, I can’t get DS to sit still long enough for a cuddle and he’s only just two.:( Oh, and I’ll take all the “text alarm buddies” I can get.
Ah Greenbee Thanks for noticing how well my list went yesterday. DF cooked supper last night (mish mash of a number of frozen leftovers-getting good at that now) and he splashed pasta sauce all over my tiles and cupboards. I gave him a moaning when he got in tonight and he swore I never did it yesterday. He wanted to see my list!!!Can you believe the cheek! When I said it was on the board he told me it didn’t count coz I didn’t write it out. And as for the clothes and dusters Ive found the perfect solution. Before I go to bed I put a kettle full of hot water in the sink with a scoop of vanish. Cleans the bits a treat AND gives the sink an extra shine
Hippy How did you get on with that list? When you say you are trying to change your forum/work/home/life balance, do you mean you want to completely tip it in another direction?
Cha97michelle Do you normally know the site of the jab? Before mine could sit on my lap I used to give him a dose of calpol two hours before jab and an hour before rub a bit of vicks onto the site. I don’t know how or why it works but it does-all the kids in our family followed suit with no probs. Once he got to about 6 months I would just take him in wearing shorts and sit him on my lap-nurse aims pricks and done (I know its easier when they are older) but hugs in the meantime
Jacqui I warned you they were addictive
Pigpen what about the smoke alarm? Oh, and really glad you want me to stay-thank you:j
Dusty the kitchen is stunningLaura - to start with, try Level One just for the correct day, do not try and start from the beginning of the week. The rooms will come round again, and the tasks vary. So, tomorrow, it's the floor in the bathroom. If you you're inspired, then go for Level Two as well!
Sexymouse you were gone for two days and all you got was 10 pages? I was out for a few hours and came home to 7! But yes, we’re glad you’re back
Boddy had a hard time today with the cigs-probably about 5, but I guess its not so bad considering thats less than half what I was doing. Thanks for asking
Lil_me you made me sad:rotfl:
Oh good l*** Nicki-Im so sorry hun-sending sweet dreams for you and DD0 -
Nicki - Hope you and DD can get through the night without too much worry.

Good thing you have nagging rights... it's definitely do what I say not what I do round here isn't it??:rolleyes:Hi everyone
I was just lying on the landing near the bathroom and got an upview of various areas thereabouts that can use some extra work:eek:miss_corerupted wrote: »i am reading this all with awe!!! Can't do much in week as i don't get home till after 6. But i'm going to try and do at least 1 thing from this list and 1 thing from mine which is about 20 things off the top of my head
well done to everyone else
You CAN do it. I've had a week working from home which has made it easier (although I haven't been well, which is why I've had the whole week here), but I normally leave home at 6.30am and get home sometime between 8pm and 10pm. Once you get into the routine of doing it, it actually makes things EASIER if you're pushed for time, and things never build up.
denisefowler - I got to the bottom of my ironing pile by doing 15 minutes at a time to begin with, as half an hour was too much to cope with!0 -
Hi
Well all the painting is done exept from one more coat of gloss on the door.:j I just have to put the room into some kind of order.
Ds2 is awake and in my bed:rolleyes: he keeps waking in the night crying for some reason. I'll let him have 5 mins then i'll put him back in his own bed.
Hugs to Nicki i hope you and your DD manage to sleep tonight.0 -
Ok, today I need to make two phone calls
[STRIKE]2 x Email to make two appts
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Spend an hour on Slicethepie to earn some shekels[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]parcel up QVC returns and give to OH[/STRIKE]
Get into garden and cut back penstemmons, lavenders and water lilies.
Weed herb garden
Find C/C statements and write cheques
Also completed:
Parcelled up some seeds etc for a friend and gave to OH to post.
Tried a new recipe for dinner - no pastry quiche.
Spent 90 mins on phone with friend who is having a really bad time right now.
Well that was my list. Ran out of time completely today as the nurse came to change my dressings which killed around an hour. My darling OH went into the garden and cut me a huge bunch of flowers from my garden as I forgot to yesterday,a nd couldn't get out there today. They are all different coloured Dahlias - some as big as dinner plates and others just a ball of beauty, like the edges have all been dipped into cerise paint. They all now proudly sit in a huge jug in my fireplace and make me smile. I cannot get into the garden as much as I would like so it's lovely to have them in here with me.
I feel a bit pathetic over my phone calls *sighs*.
Oh well, as Scarlett said - tomorrow is another day!
hugs to all
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Erm... do you normally lie on the landing? It's obviously a good way to check how clean your bathroom is, but wouldn't your bed be more comfortable?
I should have seen that coming:doh: We just got in and DS refused to get upstairs, so initially I climbed over him (theres about half a metre space between the door and the stairs) and went upstairs. Half an hour later he was still rolling around downstairs so I sat down at top to encourage him up. When he eventually got up he couldnt get past me (stairway just wide enough for me to fit) so I lay down for him to climb over me but we ended up having a cuddle first. I wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth-cuddles from DS are very rare!
Getting up I noticed the tiles on the wall near the floor the dust near the door hinges under the radiator housing and a few other bits.0 -
Holly well done on the painting
Nicki sorry to hear about the incident, I'm glad the window did not break through and that the landlady is straight on the case
JJef yes most bulbs work well in pots - make sure you have free draining soil so they don't rot - add sand/grit if necessary. It is a good idea to layer plant to extend the season - latest at the bottom so tulips then layer of soil then something earlier some sort of daffs an on top of that crocus.
I then plant something on top for instant colour - pansies - see below. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
