    Hello everyone

The kitchen looks a tip right now - DF cooked pork chops and mash for supper and made a right mess about it:) Still, I kept him company whilst he did this and cleared out the junk drawer that pigpen didnt notice I was ignoring:j. I also managed to do the pc area after supper whilst DF bathed DS (I know Im a very lucky lady-he really is very domestic isnt he? )

So now I'll have a look at the list for tommorow and see if I do want to put it over to the weekend or if I'll combine it with todays list and do as much as I can tommorow.
I must admit its getting so much easier to pick up even when I've missed a day now-the mountain doesnt seem so high.

I also managed to clear out my yahoo mail this evening and will try to get into the comping address too-but first, I need to do a lot of catching up on the thread.

    Soappie -
"I counted them all out, and I counted them all back"

One thing that did sort of make me think was the opening act by the Battle of Britain Memorial flight. They were slow, they were agile, the spitfire and hurricane were small. But they did their job. They defended our country against everything the opposition threw at us during WW2 and they did it successfully.

    Then came the fast jets.

I think, on reflection, the old planes were more graceful and tenacious. They were flown manually rather than by computer which the modern jets are. The success of their missions really was down to the dexterity of the pilot rather than the computer system which the pilots use.

But that's probably far too philosophical..

Never mind onwards and upwards as they say.

I wonder if it was the bottle of Tequila I drunk over the weekend or the orange juice?:D:cool:

I agree with piggers, definately the juice! OJ is really bad if you are trying to lose weight.

soappie you haven't bored me at all, I'm a bit of an aircraft geek according to DP, I love the Typhoon, the new Merlin helicopters too, they're great! You lucky devil getting the VIP treatment to go and watch. I was gutted when I couldn't go to the Sunderland airshow this year for what must have been the first time in about 17 years that I can remember, then found out very few aircraft flew due to the misty conditions :( I amhoping when the boys are older to go back to the ATC as a civi instructor, just to be able to fit my RAF obsession in somewhere in my life. The boys are getting there, DSs are Red Arrows potty and DS1 is getting better at aircraft recognition. Oh the BofB memorial flight, an old friend of mine flew with them when he was just starting in the RAF, he came to Sunderland with them that year, increased my enjoyment of watching even more! Vulcan's are great for setting car alarms off! I'm really thrilled people have kept them flying, I remember seeing the last official RAF flight of one at an airshow and thinking what a shame.

mineallmine have you read that book, Sea Harrier Over the Falklands ? Really good book that one :D

Triker that's nothing, go for a wee or something and there you go, it's gone. 0.5 is not worth even looking at. It's the OJ if anything, just drink the Tequilla.....nice with lime and low cal lemonade maybe sprite zero or similar would work. I used to make a tequilla cocktail when I did bar work which inc an extra kick add vodka and blue curaco....archers is nice in there too :D then a dash of lime and top off with lemonade in a rather large glass. Killed a few people off with that little tipple (PS it's bloomin expensive if you buy it in a bar, much better made at home in 'some of that' measures)

tooti you have my permission to jibb your friend in the ribs, if she was a proper friend she wouldn't be giving you grief and would have offered to do it for you (sorry I'm allergic to ironing is my excuse)

Right now I am in a huff, NAS drive when I look through refuses to share specific file types, says on the box 'listen to your music anywhere' but won't let you upload MP3s etc, so it's going back! Printers going to be thrown through a window soon, wanted all it's cartridges changing, so did that, all happy and fed, no, it won't work, general error it's saying, I can't find whats wrong with it, will try again tomorrow. Not having a good day with computers....

Flying wise, done the kitchen, again. Put some more laundry away. Done a rather large paperwork fling. Still searching for cheque books but haven't found them. Sorted a kitchen cupboard. Done a meal plan/shopping list, DPs decided he's coming Mon-Wed next week, and wooohooo the pool heater has been fixed on the site so have packed my swimming stuff (like knickers was I getting in if it was still freezing cold!)

Going to look a bit more for cheque books this evening, we've got about a dozen things we need to pay for with cheques and can't find any. A bit glued to Super Doctors at the minute on BBC1.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Failed!!!

First day failure thats what I am, left the house early and didn't get in till gone 7 o'clock after driving 360 miles so I'm ridiculously tired.... So what I did do was watch some trashy soaps (Neighbours/ EastEnders) and then felt better that at least my life isn't depressing just messy :T :T

However what I did do was empty some space in the kitchen by drinking a fine red wine and filling a charity bag to go tomorrow (1 item off the list I believe :j :j --- you never know tomorrow it might be two --- oh noooo there is no tomorrow :rotfl: :rotfl: )

This is truley a thread full of lovely people so even if my house never gets organised at least I can see your throughly lovely messages
