Now that made me giggle like a 10 year old, kids are looking at me strangely (Oh and Soappie I THINK I sent you an invite, please send kicks in my direction if I didn't)

    Well done Dusty!!!
Denisefowler that looks like one of my MANY current 'piles' backlog from holidays, but getting there, put a stack away today and some in the suitcase.
Triker good luck for the weigh in.
johanne, never be scared to have those tears, or share them. Like you said you have your OH and little Sarah, that's what matters. You'll get there honey, just takes a little time.

Well flying I am doing in between getting this stupid network access drive thing working, well trying to, it's a right pain in the bum, if I transfer ONE TINY thing like an MP3 it works, if I transfer a TINY FOLDER with a few in, it says file empty, grrr, grump! Somewhere between the PC and the NAS widget someones picking up my folders, tipping them upside down then popping them back on the shelf.....empty!

Just packed the kids school bags while I was waiting for stuff (well empty files it seems) to transfer, so that's the PE kits written on and bagged up ready :D not that I am wishing them back to school you understand ;)
One day I might be more organised...........

Dusty - well done on finishing the kitchen.

Lil-me - thanks for the facebook invite - I've joined - I've also joined the yahoo group as well.

Well, ladies, I had a lovely day. I could really get into the mode of being a lady who lunches. There's something quite sureal about being offered Pims at 11am and mixing with the hoi-paloi (however it's spelt!) over lunch on the beach. We were in a posh marquee thing with decking etc. right on the beach in an enclosed area. Even the loos were the portable executive type that you see at weddings - proper wooden doors, carpet, music gently playing, hand creams, lotions, potions, tissues the lot.

Even though I went on my own there were some people I knew there so I didn't feel totally billy no-mates. It remained cloudy all day - and the cloud base was low so the displays weren't perhaps as spectacular as they could have been but the only act to drop out because of weather conditions was the Falcon parachute team.

The air display itself was very, very good. My new best friend is the Eurofighter (Typhoon). It is the most awesome aircraft I've ever had the privilege to see fly. It could hover like a Harrier jump jet yet, with a little flick of a switch, the jet burners are on and it zoomed away! The most fascinating thing about it was the visible air turbulance over the wings. Here's a pic I took to bore you all with - it's not out of focus, it just shows the visible air turbulence and the jet engines just going on full throttle

    eurofighter.jpg

So, it was a lovely day and just think - I have to do it all again tomorrow!

But, I now need to go and find some dinner and drink lots of tea because I'm not used to drinking wine during the day!
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

  • Evening girls!
Been a busy girl today - not much flying but lots of running around!
Got haircut, took DS to soccer school, Mr T delivered the shopping, managed 1/2 hour on Wii fit and drank 6 glasses of water. This is part of my get fit mission - may be a while before the muffin top vanishes!!

DH goes away tomorrow on a stag night till Sunday, so have a big list of things I would like to achieve. Here 'tis!

    Sort out DS passport application
Count PTA cash ready for banking
Sort out Race for Life sponsorship money and send in
Tidy out laundry room (home of much rubbish)
Bake a lasagne or 2 for freezer for back to school
Name new school stuff for gingerkids
    Bank clubcard points
Go and order new specs for DS (and take the 2 halves of the last pair to see if the nice people in Specsavers will magic them better again as they usually do!)
Buy birthday card for friend with special birthday
Bake cake for above friend to take to work on Monday
    Level 2 for Friday

Feeling tired just looking at it! Is it wine o'clock yet?????

    Evening all,

Hugs to Johanne. :kisses3: Money worries are awful. Focus on making the best of what you have. Our place is small (and not perfectly formed) but by doing the flying, it feels better, cleaner, roomier. The walls haven't magically expanded and there is still loads of clutter, but it's getting there.:o Tis beginning to feel more like a home.
Two of my friends lost their houses. One was repossessed, the other my friend managed to sell (at the eleventh hour before repossession) and came out with about a quid. They're both doing ok now and are so thankful for what they have. They've both come out the other side.:A

Look for opportunities to enjoy life, cuddle your daughter/OH. Look for ways of doing everyday things (like eating lunch) in other ways. Is there a park near where you live. What about a picnic - take a towel/blanket with you, a few sarnies and some squash? Fresh air and sunshine can be a tonic.
The picture of the cat on this page about the Forum maintenance (piccie half way down) made me smile!;)

And I always smile when I see this smilie :EasterBun

On the flying front. Bathroom cleaned. PC desk etc cleaned. Me knackered! Am getting a bit eager with this flying lark.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.

    Evening everybody

Johanne - thank goodness you had a decent man for the repossession - I cant imagine how you must be feeling but I hope thats the worst bit over for a wee while - the sorting through the stuff will happen as and when you feel up to it. Keep in touch and let us know how yoyu are coping! You are doing very well so far keeping yourself together but dont bottle it up.
Soappie Ooooh I am sooo jealous - the typhoon is amazing - I would have loved to have been there - hope you enjoy tomorrow too.
denisefowler thank goodness there's someelse with a huge ironing mountain like me - i thought I was the worst (or so my 'friend' kept telling me)
Orkney Star what agreat day you have had - well done but dont go mad and make yourself sore - chill out tinight!
G&B Thanks for the sponge pudding recipe - I cant wait to try it (even if I am not supposed to be eating cakes etc (diabetic) but I will!!!
Triker Good luck for saturday - hope you have a great time!

I managed level 1 and 2 of today's list and a couple from my own so not too bad - having an early night and hopefully will catch up a bit more tomorrow after my computer time.

    Hugs to everyone

    Toots xx
    Peace will be mine
