Hi everyone
We're back. What a day-haven't sat down all day and Im sure all the bus drivers got a telling off of sorts when they stopped in the office this morning-they were all in such bad moods today and driving like complete idiots:rolleyes:
I think Im just going to do the usual dailies today and then I'll do todays list tommorow and add tommorows list to the weekend (if thats okay by pigpenI was just lying on the landing near the bathroom and got an upview of various areas thereabouts that can use some extra work:eek:
I also got a recipe for lemon cookies from friend I want to try after shopping day so going to file that on bigoven tonight. And I want to see if I can find a copy of the book it came from-for one I could use a copy and for two, she could use a new "less worn" copy and has a birthday coming up soon
Going to get a coffee now and then I'll sit down and catch up on the thread.
I hope all your days have been going well.0 -
Phew - major chat going on.
Hey Triker nice to see you back - I was wondering about you and was going to ask PP good luck for the weigh in. Pub afterwards?
Denisefowler - that was a fab post - you obviously know what Johanne must be going through - hope she reads it and is able to take it in - sometimes, when there is a lot of stress taking the info in is the hardest thing...
G & B raspberry and white choc chip muffins are in the oven as I type! Have used vanilla flavoured caster sugar - I flavour my own - so I'll let you know how they turn out (10 more mins) house smells brill. But mainly thanks for the tip - I did know, but had forgotten, it's a batter almost, rather than a cake mix but this is my first ever batch. Since the kids are always begging for them I'm hoping this is going to be a bit moneysaving! So thanks for posting!
Everyone else - have a nice rest of the day. I've done the bathroom - off to do the dining room now, and a few other bits.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Just wanted to say thank you for all the messages....
Apparently the guy who come was really alright and even sent the police away as soon as they arrived as they werent needed. The only thing the fella was worried about was the huge enclosure we had built for our beardie was still there with the door propped open as we had no way of moving it.. he looked really worried apparently when he saw the branches and sand and was like "erm can i just ask what was in that? And are you suuuuuuree its gone?" I did tell OH he should have claimed it was a BOA and we'd found all but one of the babies........:rotfl:
OH is back in work tonight after 20 days off... so i have managed to hold myself together and will probably have a little cry onces hes gone and sarah is in bed.
The only thing i can think of now to help is least we still have a roof over our heads here thanks to my dad being my landlord type of thing (we cant afford rent) so at least were not homeless...... and as pigpen said its only money.... and end of the day even if we were stony broke and living in a box so long as i have got Sarah and OH thats all that matters ....

Thanks, but like you say, it's hard to take in when everything is going on and everyone is giving you advice, it seems to be coming in from all angles and you know people mean well, but you just want to run and hide... but just wanted to say that it does end - Johanne, at least you had a nice guy sorting it out today for you... have your cry and get lots of hugs and cuddles too, it is tough but you seem a lovely, strong couple and will manage the storm if you have each other.
Those muffins sound absolutly scrummy - it must be near my time or something coz I have manic sweet cravings at the moment and think I can even smell them... Oooooh, better go do some cooking I think.... I have updated my own list and taken off everything thats been done over last couple of days.
Own list

- sort through DS too small clothes.
- Kitchen food cupboard inventory (1 at at time lol as theres lots and lots and lots of little things!).

OH flight due in at 18:00 and connection 18:40 and apparently having to re-check in so not sure if he'll make it back tonight. I was thinking first flight in the morning would be better but then realised how selfish that was - he is already 3 days late, has had a bad trip and the hotel he would end up is cr*p - in other words even if I've not got everything done here is better. So need to leave at 7.15 to collect him so best crack on (once I've retrieved a Mars Bar from the now sorted
chocolate cupboard and since this seemed to create so much interest there will then be 30 bars of Mars/Crunchies/Twirls/caramels - unfortunately not 30 of each lol)
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
