  • I'm in again ladies

serena thank god it all worked out with your DS. That must have been so worrying.

shell nice to have you back - well done on driving in spain - i found that really difficult to get my head around, but i was determined to have a go so i could say i had done it.

Not off to a bad start. DH is at work today but didn't go till 10, so we muddled through a bit between us:
    • bedding used by mates at weekend is washed
    • towels washed last night in TD
    • TD emptied of my jeans, i am just airing them a bit more before i fold and put them away
    • breakfast dishes washed
    • played with DS1 in the garden for 30 minutes while ds2 naps, combined with a 10GC which 1/4 filled the compost bin which DH 1/4 filled when he cut the grass yesterday, which is keeping in top of the saplings that grow if left unweeded
the house is still fairly tidy from the weekend, and i have a couple of leftover meals planned for ds and myself today so no real cooking, and the house should be easy to keep on top of.

I've also come to a decision to stop BFing DS2 as it is starting to get me down a bit as DS1 uses it as a chance to mess, and i hate not being in any sort of routine. I've done my bit anyway as he is 16 weeks tomorrow and doing well. So i will be winding that down this week too.

I have just decided I feel decidedly strange today.. Then I realised it is actually hunger!!! It is a novelty... I'll go have a cuppa first then see what I have worth eating.. me.. hungry!!! Fancy that!!

Just to jump on the IBS wagon.. I have it too.. but have mine completely under control.. 99% of the time. Reduced wheat.. pasta is ok but bread kills me.. so I rarely eat bread, I don't eat eggs unless I want to feel ill, salad cripples me as does sweetcorn. Red meat is indigestable. Deep fried stuff.. eg fish and chips gives me horrific wind and bloating so only gets eaten when I am staying home the next day! ON top of that I have allergies to red fruits/veg.. apples, berries etc are a no go. Then my latex allergy which means I cannot eat bananas, avacados or kiwis. As a consequence I eat the same half dozen things ALL the time and rarely stray from them.. hubby says I am just boring but when you eat something new and know it might cause an unpleasant reaction to tend to stay away of anything new.

cuppa and food.. before it wears off!

    Morning all

I am so relieved to see your DS has been found and is back home safe and well serena what a fright for you all.

Well A and I stopped up to watch Pretty Woman last night, so haven't been up that long although W was the last up less than 30 mins ago!

Not a lot planned here today other than trying to put some sort of order into this place. Need to get organised I am off with my friend to NY on Friday :D which reminds me I need to sort some $. Mum & Dad are taking A & W to Old York in our caravan whilst I am away, they are so excited.

Also lil_me I think I can lay claim to the latest return to school for the kids, ours don't go back until 9th

    Morning everyone.

Serena glad your DS is ok.

So tired today hubby keeps watching tv late at night which keeps me up:mad: been going on all last week too, so not falling asleep until 2am or after. Have told him it has to stop or i'll never get into a routine for the school run.

Bo is doing well thanks for asking, he's due to get his stiches out tomorrow and is walking so much better. My only worry is that sometimes he sits and shakes and we don't have a clue why so i'll mention it to the vet tomorrow.

Kids are driving me made they pulled some tomatoes of the plant yesterday, decided it would be a great idea to put water on dry mud, mix it up and sit in it. This morning they have completly cleared out the biccy tin (there was 2 packets in it.

Right cuppa first as it's cold today and then i'll make a start.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Vanilla.. yesterday my lot polished off.. 21 packs of crisps, 18 cereal bars and 2 boxes of cereal... before I got out of bed.. god knows what unreasonable hour they got up!! DD3 is notorious for her piggery.. she once got up at 4am (ish) and ate an entire chocolate birthday cake.. you know the 18 slice ones from tesco.. she was 3!!!!!!!!!!

AnW'Mum I can't believe your NY trip has come around so quick, I hope you have a wonderful time

There must be something about being a flylady and IBS as I get it too. A nutitionist recommend a really strong 'friendly bacteria' capsule (I'll PM details to anyone who wants it) and mine is so much better. Like you PP I can't do fatty foods but if I keep my diet balanced and don't over do any food it seems ok. I am not keen on lots of the foods which would upset mine - I don't like pasta or eggs. I need to limit wine/beer as well as I think mine is worst for too much yeast/sugar - I read quite a bit about the bacteria balance and as I am intolerant of lots of AB I am sure this is the route for me

Right I need to do something off my list!

Pigpen they love to test. MIL got me a lovely book of Belgium chocolates when they where away on holiday, i got one and the kids ate the whole box the next morning (wee gits) DS2 came in with a mouth covered in chocolate but totally denied he had any until he seen his gob.

Any body else cold today????? I'm freezing think i'll lit the fire.

Boddy yes please! Doing well so far anyway.Oh, and have not yet got a pin to log in (need to put that in the list for when I go in)
Pigpen Go eat some food! I need you.
Serena Thanks for the trip tip:A I feel very grateful now hearing about your DS-I had encephalitis when I was 17-was hospitalised for two months but thank goodness did not suffer the side effects your ds has. I do need to be ultra cautious of meningitis and battle with headaches-but now I really count myself lucky to say "thats all".

Just mailed some forms to DF to print for me (a whole load of them since he's alone in the office:whistle: )

    Now onto the hoover.

polkadot -:T well done on the ciggies front. I confess to being a smoker as well. Stopped and started again loads of times. But one day I will beat it.;)

boddy - hope you feeling better now. Maybe we should start a flylady IBS club seeing as so many of us suffer with it.

GnB - Wow you've been flying well today.:T

serena - glad your son is now on the mend.

Right, I have just packed DD off for the week.........again:o She seems to have spent more time away than at home this summer holidays. She's enjoying herself though so that's the main thing. Think she might get a taste for the jet set lifestyle she's gone wearing huge white sunglasses ala A1 celebrity.

So whilst I was bathing and packing for her, DH and DS have sucessfully made me more mess to tidy up. No change there then.

    Anyone in for a HHC say 11.30 - 12.00 or 11.45 - 12.15.you pick.;)
