Morning everyone
Done my dailies, so entire house (minus lounge) has floors visible. DF left for work at about seven so I got up and had a shower and went through my lists. Also worked on CJ for abit, so now I have my daily routine started-broken down into morning afternoon and evening. Also have basic weekly plan in addition to the cleaning schedules kindly supplied by pigpen:A .
Also added a folder each for DF, DS and myself. DF is wanting to get onto my shakes now so have made him a weight chart to go into CJ, did same for me.Also started food diary for DS. He's stopped eating over the last few weeks and Im having nightmares to get him to eat anything besides time outs, noodles and dry bread. He did eat a bowl of rice crispies this morning:j .
Im going to try using things like carrots and onions etc in the sc to make sauces for the noodles-at least for a start perhaps he wont realise he's eating proper veg. I have a friend who is very upset at me for considering it as she says Im teaching him bad habits-then she has a kid whos never been fussy. Anyone agree? If so can I have some new ideas please?
Rach and sexymouse where do you get your rooibos from? I've tried Lidl and sainsbury and got their redbush tea-but I dont think its quite rooibos-do you get it labelled rooibos? I miss it tons-I lived on it when I was pregnant and when DS was colicky it was rooibos that fixed it quick. But then maybe Im being fussy?
Im still having a hard time with the walls lots of choccie marks all over but its wallpaper and I have NO idea how to clean it:eek:
Library books say they are due back today-but I have no idea if libraries are open on bank holidays? Only joined the library recently and not used to things being closed on bank holiday. Do I assume that they go back tommorow?
Was going to take DS to feed ducks but it are raining now-Im running out of things to do with him indoors. Oh I cant wait for playgroups to start again.
Also I have a confession to make...my name is polkadot-and Im a smoker:(
Ive been trying to quit for ages-managed for three months before I came here but then got to the airport and there it was.
I normally smoke outside or hanging out the bathroom window, but the cleaning seems to have inspired me and I havent had one since yesterday morning. I was thinking about asking the doc tommorow about patches. Been chewing gum today and coffee-another vice.0 -
sexymouse & TAG - I've had my IBS for years too, though its not as bad these days as it used to be (i was once taken into hospital with suspected appendicitis it was so bad!) but i still suffer with bloating and, erm, wind a lot. DH kind of understands but is a typical man - can't understand why i still eat things that trigger it. part of the problem is not really knowing what does trigger it as it seems to alter constantly. i cut wheat out for almost 2 years which did help but its such a pain (esp as DH loves pasta!) I don;t know if you've tried windeze (sp) they help a lot with the bloating.
Too much pasta doesn't do me much good either. It's the eggs. Or coke. I'm OK with a glass, maybe two if I'm lucky but after that I'm in trouble. It took me a while to understand why I always had flare ups on holiday. Then I made the coke connection.
Don't you find though that some of the trigger foods are the ones that you absolutley adore. Why is that? It's so unfair.:mad:0 -
Morning all
Denise thanks for the lists - I've created a christmas folder and added the second link. I don't start Christmas preps until after half term/halloween usually so think that one will do nicely. I have my own plan to finish the decluttering filing before half term to clear the way for christmas.
Anyone returns from holidays this week I hope you had a good time.
I need to do a list:
Pack stuff from top cupboards
S&S
finish ironing
hand sewing
sort uniform box from loft
sort last cupboard in family room
sow lettuce/spinach/carrots in pot
dead heading back garden
wash and put away garden toys
pack kids stuff for disney
get kids passports out
write birthday card
Soappie good to see you pop in - I need to pm you this week re family history but there is no need to reply in a hurry as I know you are super busy, enjoy the ball
Holly is there somebody else who could help you with the monster toddler toy task? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
It's dull and breezy here but I've got one load of washing on the line.
Monday is kitchen day for me, so I've done that and I've dampwiped the living room and vacuumed right through downstairs.
Going out soon.
Glad your DS is home safe and sound Serena.0 -

Morning everyone.
A dull day here and looks like rain. Have not got much planned for today. I was going to see mum but am sneezing and have a sore throat. That will teach me for saying I was going to have a sickie this week. So best I dont go as I dont want her to get it. Will get my DD to go across.
DeniseNZ Glad to hear your MIL is improving.
Soappie I was wondering if you were ok as I hadnt seen you on.
Tashja Hope your DB gets well soon.
Sexy,TAG rach Im an IBS sufferer too. Its been bad at the weekend. My own fault as Ive been eating rubbish this week.
Polkadot Im sure you can renew your library books online. Re the smoking if you would like I could pm you about a method that might help with the craving.

Thank you again everyone for all the support! My word, you are a fabulous bunch of friends!
I found DS asleep on the sofa this morning - he'd fallen asleep down here and hadn't made it upstairs. I persuaded him to go upstairs and he's now all tucked up and fast asleep again. He was well enough last night to say wistfully that if he left straight away he'd be back at the festival in time to see Metallica - which was the one band that he was absolutely desperate to see! Another time!
He seemed coherent again, so it seems this isn't going to be a slide straight into a full blown 'episode', thank goodness. I think it was probably triggered by exhaustion. He'd done the last of his three eight hour shifts, and the last one was midnight to eight in the morning. He'd not had much sleep the day before after doing 4pm to midnight, as the sunshine was so hot on Saturday morning they'd not been able to sleep. He didn't feel well at the end of his shift, and finished an hour early, just wanted to come home, and started walking to the station, or so he thought. He took a wrong turning somewhere, and ended up miles from where he should be, and just didn't stop walking.
I'd told him before he left that he wasn't to make decisions about whether or not something might worry me, he was to ring anyway, and thankfully he could just have enough sensible thinking left to do that.
Yes, the police were brilliant. At one stage they said they would probably stop looking as he was probably going to the station, but when I explained about the 'episodes' that he has, and that he wasn't walking purposefully anywhere, they kept looking. Fortunately, DS managed to tell me the name of a street and also the number on a bus stop, which was how they found him.
(For those new flyladies, DS had encephalitis 2 years ago, and subsequently when he has a fever, or is stressed or overtired, his brain seems to throw a wobbly, and he can't think straight, doesn't recognise faces, understand what you are saying and so on, which is why I was so concerned)It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Serena.. I am pleased he is getting better this morning and back safely snuggled in his bed.. no matter how big they get they know just how to worry us don't they! I hope he is better when he wakes up and more himself!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
