I'm going to attempt to go into the office today, as I'm starting to feel better at last  . I've been needing to see one of the legal team for ages with no success, but apparently they now want to talk to me  and are in the building today, so fingers crossed I can finally get this stuff dealt with.

Definitely need to do the study today as somehow paperwork has been creeping back into the in-tray and its in danger of developing into a hotspot, but the rest of the house is looking pretty fantastic - even my scruffy old utility room is SHINING :A

Morning all. I am catching up with the thread, having pegged out my washing, while awaiting a Freecycler who is due to come and pick up the PS1 games rack which we no longer need, having bought boxes from Ikea. I’ve also had a chatty conversation with my Mum, who normally drops in on a Thurs am, by phone as she is awaiting a courier, arranged (without consultation) by BIL who has ordered her a replacement screen for her 2 screen PC. Anytime between 9 – 5.30 – if you’re not in you have to pay £50!. She has no business, at her age, being so PC savvy.! Anyone know how to make (American style, bun) muffins? Kids want to christen the muffin pan! And I need some muffin cases? Wilkos?

Mumofjusttwo great news on the passport for your niece – presumably her dad was okay about it! Hope you have a great holiday.

Diva – if these official phone calls are stressing you out – what I do is have a ‘bulleted’ list of things I need to say. Mind you, for the BIG stuff I always, always write. And keep a copy of the letter – and do a CC to any interested parties IYKWIM.

Soappie fingers crossed that it all goes well!

Orkneystar – great start to the day – just what you want. You know you will feel sooooo good.

    Juliejim – changed priorities then?:rotfl:

Hollyh good luck with the catch up!

    Kaz – you’re excused ironing!:o

Greenbee – usually wipe my line before hanging – especially after the weekend (barbies and chimneas)

Well this is a bit annoying - no show yet! I want a bath! I'll give it until 10 past then I'm off upstairs! Kids are up anyway - they could hand it over. And what's the protocol if I get a no-show? Do I get to 'flame' her?

And another brag- I think DS is getting ready for potty. He took nappy off this morning to poo, got potty, sat down NEXT to potty and did what he needed to do. I tried to get the potty under him but he wanted to hold on to it instead:rolleyes:

Get another! One to hold and one to fill! And a spare is always useful!

Right, I'm dressed, bouffanted, moisturised, nails painted etc. Just need to put on a touch of mascara, a bit of lippy, a slap of something pleasantly smelly then I'm off out to be a lady who lunches!

  • Now I see why you gals are so impressed with stardrops -I left my oven racks in soak overnight and this morning they were a doddle to clean! Have used an oven cleaner on the inside but might try stardrops on that too next time - won't leave it so long either so should be better! Off to do the bathrooms now - had a lazy start - didn't wake early today and want to make the most of the rest of hte hols! Mine are old enough to cope when they get up now - what a relief!
Congrats to you ladies who have los just potty training - it's such an exciting point and I can vividly remember how proud I was being able to hang little pant/knicks on the line - sad eh?! But a real step in growing up and independence. Hang on in there - tte accidents will soon be forgotten!!:rotfl:
