Feeling very motivated this morning:D Have done the dishes, S&S'd the kitchen, emptied the DW, done a load of washing, some now in TD others waiting to be hung up, made some bread. Have also started my list, will do some more when i've finished my tea and toast. I have done nothing but eat for the past few days:eek:

Have been trying out a tip posted on here ages ago and i cant remember who posted it:o Never walk around empty handed! It makes a huge difference:D I always try and take something with me if i'm leaving a room so i can put it in its rightful home.

    morning ladies

I should probably be doing something, rather than sitting in pjs but hey! I need to leave the house about 11.50 to get the car from in laws, then bring it here and pack it (DH has carried the heavy stuff downstairs for me) and then pick DH up from work at 1pm then we'll be on our way :D we got packed in no time last night, just need to remember to put it all in the car (have a list!) including laptop (so we can put photos on as we go).

lil_me - i used nationwide for car - was good, i just googled but the link for the offer for 1/3 off is here looks like there's one at the arnison centre.

in terms of what i need to do today before i go:

    shower
    get dressed
    wash up & put away
    S&S kitchen
    s&S bathroom
    quick work email
post package to sil (might try online postage ;))

but first i'm having another cuppa :D can't get dressed yet as i washed clothes last night and they're still damp

Anyone know how to make (American style, bun) muffins? Kids want to christen the muffin pan! And I need some muffin cases? Wilkos?

Do you mean these? They are sweet muffins, i make blueberry, or white chocolate and raspberry.

Valli - have you ever made muffins before? If you havent the trick is not to over mix them, put all the dry ingredients together, all the wet ingredients together and mix them at the last moment. Dont worry about lumps, it doesnt have to be smoothe like cake mix, the more you mix them the heavier they are for some reason:confused: HTH

    Whew!

Well - the police have finally turned up (since Monday!) DS decided he didn't want to pursue it (wise, for now, I think) but I said I wanted them to be aware of the incident, re numbers, and the fact that the boys had to use an underpass to get back here - after the incident in London where the lad was chased...you know what I am thinking! If they had decided to run over 'the big road' to get free it could have been awful - it's fast road, no pedestrians usually, with a 50 limit most of it.
My survey lady called - have had to ask her to call back, and the Freecycler called. Police cynically said...then you'll see it on the car boot. Wel, TBH I am not bothered. It has gone from here with very little effort on my part, that's enough for me. Having said that I would prefer it if the car booters were outed. Mind you, on our Freecycle people offer stuff for car boots! And pets! Now I am going to get a bath.
