Off to slob in front of the TV now. I know it's not what was on the list, but I'm finding that just thinking about this thread is enough to make me go and do something. Maybe I'm just scared of pigpen....:rotfl:

Edited to add : Oh gawd....just checked tomorrow's list - the Oven of Doooooooooooom.....! It really needs doing. I MUST clean the oven tomorrow evening. I MUST, MUST, MUST clean the oven tomorrow evening. Right, that's me told..

I'll ignore the fact you are goggling at the one eyed monster on the condition that oven shines like my golden mules this time tomorrow...

Nicki - Didn't you go and look at a house last week? What happened about that one?

Moving costs you can claim from DSS. I think. It used to be the case. Might be worth checking.

We looked at 3 houses last week - 2 were no-gos as they weren't suitable and the last one was fantastic but I can't get the guarantor and they're the company who want £50 as a reference fee.

Greenbee I'm with Rach you need to get it planned, get the stuff ordered and get him to give you a start date and how long it will take.

OH has washed the ceiling in the kitchen now so it is almost ready for painting. Only problem is paint has not arrived. Chased them today - long boring story but it had not been dispatched so was sent out today. Fingers crossed please flyladies that it arrives tomorrow.

Off to watch BB now if I can drag myself away from 1901!

Valli Im glad to see Im not the only one tempted to watch my stars:)
Greenbee I hope you feel better soon (***hugs***)
Tag/Nicky I get so upset when I hear stories like yours. When I first moved here I met a girl who lived over the road from us-she was in a council place and had got it by means of "being a single mother" although initially her childs dad was still living with her. Her child was going to a nursery right up there with the montessoris and she was claiming childcare component in addition to child benefit. Then she was getting DLA sighting that she is dyspraxic and cannot function( despite the fact that she has a job as a keyworker working with disabled people-16 hours a week) in addition to this she has a bt landline installed on benefits (line fee and a small call limit) on the basis that her dyspraxia causes her to forget where her mobile phone is so she needs to call it or loses it so she needs assistance. When we moved out she was applying for a dishwasher saying she would be able to give her son more attention if she didnt have to spend the extended period of time her dyspraxia causes doing dishes!!!
SSC I did go for councelling-but was only allowed 12 sessions on NHS and being on one income we really cant afford private rates. I tried a few of the free services but not having anywhere to leave DS was problematic and they seemed to get impatient. I have however recently found a church to call home. This has been a huge help-there is one lady in particular who recently lost her daughter and has been such a blessing-always there with hugs and talks when I need it. The church is at the end of the road so when we go down to the co-op and shes in the office we always end up popping in.
Im sorry this is turning into such a long post-but you were all so good to me today and I didnt explain everything. Now Im thinking about it I feel like I should so please bear with me.
Having the cerebral palsy already makes my emotions run high-no matter which end. Most of you know I lost my mum but I never said when- I was 19. She was a manic depressive and had inherited the family bug-epstein barr virus. (It was passed down to all the girls) it caused lots of hormonal issues and worsened the depression. She refused to take medication because of the stigma attached and commited suicide in the end. It was a long battle to the end,she attempted 17 times between my 13 birthday and the end. It was not a happy way to live and I dont want to put my DS through it. I have been weaned off of the depressants (not fluoxitine) before and its gone downhill as soon as I start to think Im okay again (obviously down to the CP) Ive resigned myself to living with the meds but like you all say-I need a GP on my side.
Like pigpen has said before, I do get up and keep moving. I believe this is my testimony and Ive lived it because I am intended to share it.
Ive never really spoken about this except to DF so I hope you all dont mind my heart on my sleeve...And again, thank you for being on the other end when I had a need. All of you.

Will be back to post my list next:) Prepped the cabbage and into the freezer-got 3 nice heads today for £1. Coleslaw-mmmm
And then... the hec with the house Im going to bed-my soul needs it:)

I have just swept the living room carpet with a dustpan and brush so as not to wake DS (who's a sicknote at the moment) and DH.

I'd just finished when DH appears, as he had forgotten to take his tablets and he tells me I could of used the hoover, he wouldn't of minded:rolleyes::mad:

So much for me being thoughtful
