Well I have managed to catch up with the thread. Gonna have to give up work and stay on here all day as it's the only way to keep up.;)

serena - my ex hubby is having mega problems with our DD as well with regard coming home at night. She's 17, 18 in October and has just found herself a BF as well, who's 20/21.

He's told her no later that midnight in the week and 1.00am at the weekends. But she's rolling in at 2/3 4 in the morning. There is more to it though as she has the teenage attitude problem as well at the moment. It's got to the point where he wants her to leave. I think your being very reasonable and ex H is to reasonable.

jackielesley - to my shame :o DD has a tv in her room and used to watch video's if she woke up to early. It was that or me getting up tyo chaos every morning. She is a very creative little girl and really can make something out of anything. No idea where she gets it from. But some of her 'inventions' are fantastic.

jinky67 - congrats on the doggie. Hope my first post of the day doesn't put you off.

rach - congrats on becoming an Auntie:T

mineallmine - I'm having the same problem trying to get DH to sort out his wardrobe. He has over 50 t shirts:eek:. He wears work shirts 5 days a week So really I shouldn't need to wash his t shirts for 6 months.

Mrs V - hope the move is going well

    shell - :grouphug:

polkadot - I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience at your drs. As others have said, see a different one. And your old doctor is bang on with not stopping them just like that. It is a long old haul back when taking ad's but it will get better. You just need the right, supportive' doctor to help you.

Ooh Nicki bet you cannot wait to get out! Any news on the househunting BTW?

I'm applying for council housing instead of private landlords/letting agencies - its either guarantors or HUGE deposits. I have the form filled out and I just need 2 references (current landlady has said she'll give me an excellent one as I am an excellent tenant, and I was thinking of going to my former one as well, but thinking maybe someone else would be better - maybe the head teacher or Chair of Governors at the school might be able to give me one? The form says no friends/relatives but I'm hoping with me having been on the governing board I'd be counted as having been an employee?) then I'll get that in the post recorded delivery ;)

I emailed the new council this morning enquiring about transferring my housing/council tax benefit claim (whether I need to do it separately or whether it would automatically be done through the job centre) but something I need to leave until nearer the time is a school place for DD, but I have been looking at schools in the area (which ones I don't want DD to go to as they are performing lower than the national average ;) ) and childcare, as well as keeping an eye on the job market ;) I'm being a busy little bee ATM :D:D

I'm not going in that under stairs cupboard to sort it out again and you can't make me  Its horrible and smelly-damp and I've had to put all my material bags-for-life (not the plastic ones you get from Wilkos) in the wash as they smelt & some were going furry!:eek: I've still got to wash my shopping trolley bag and try to rescue DD's deckchair which is extremely mouldy as she won't let me bin it  The sooner we're out of this house the better. I've also noticed that we have black mildew/mould growing on the ceiling in the kitchen again and the front living room wall is shiny as well as the wallpaper bubbling in places.

Off to find out what DD is upto...I sent her upstairs about 6.15 to put her ironing away and its gone quiet

God Nikki, at least mine is just a quick wipe up, you really need to get out of there, no making . Any news on the house you went to look at yet? Fingers crossed for you X.

Valli Whoo Hooo, well done on your extra star...

I'm going to have a cuppa.. which DD1 is making! Then I am going to finish emulsioning the middle room.. and then I'll make a start on the second coat.. by the time I get round the first bit will be well and truly dry.. then tomorrow morning while they are at god squad I will do the gloss... Then.. when hubby gets home he can rehang the door.. and put the curtain pole up while I glos the door.

I'll measure up for crappet and send hubby out to purchase that on Thursday THEN.. I will go sofabed hunting.. :D
