My lovely hairdresser, who is Canadian, got what I can only term as racist abuse from a locum at her practise. He basically accused her of only being in this country for what she could get out of the NHS....I was gobsmacked. She put in a complaint. I must ask her what happened. I wonder...are the NHS running courses on being nasty to immigrants?

PS I would recommend counselling. It has helped me enormously.

That is disgusting.. I'd have slapped him never mind putting in a complaint!!

They don't need to run courses it comes naturally from being overpaid and not liking to do the work to earn it!!

  • urghh - I feel drugged and grotty, but I have been up since 3.30 but 'twas hard going at work - both tiredness and the emotional side of that job announcement.

kitchen and a couple of floors, then food, then I think a very early night

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

  • Valli - get your on line banking done!!!!

Diva - welcome. I too have problems completing what needs to be done. I tend to make a list for the week and try to do 2 things on it each day. Sometimes I post it on here, sometimes I dont, depends how much time I have. HTH :)

I'm not going in that under stairs cupboard to sort it out again and you can't make me  Its horrible and smelly-damp and I've had to put all my material bags-for-life (not the plastic ones you get from Wilkos) in the wash as they smelt & some were going furry!:eek: I've still got to wash my shopping trolley bag and try to rescue DD's deckchair which is extremely mouldy as she won't let me bin it  The sooner we're out of this house the better. I've also noticed that we have black mildew/mould growing on the ceiling in the kitchen again and the front living room wall is shiny as well as the wallpaper bubbling in places.

Off to find out what DD is upto...I sent her upstairs about 6.15 to put her ironing away and its gone quiet

Done a very tiny bit of Plan & Prep (How's it going Froddy?)

    Ummmmm...........

But I have been to the cinema :D Since getting home I have changed my bedding (still can't turn the mattress!), dusted bedside cabinets and top of wardrobe as far as I can reach, removed all my china from top of chest of drawers, dusted them and the chest and put them all back, wiped window sill, tidied and dusted dressing table and sorted and dusted bottles, creams, etc. in bedroom so am feeling quite pleased with myself!!

My bedroom looks and smells great :T Am going to tackle all the hoovering upstairs in one go later in the week!!

Polkadot - you need the fluoxitine as you can't stop it suddenly - you have to steadily reduce the dose (that's what doc told me anyway)

AnW's - am very jealous - sounds fab!
