Aged Ps aren't much help and in-laws are no longer with us! Still good kids most of the time. :hello:Hello ladies, I'm in again.
I have been around, but not been around, IYKWIM, over the last few days. Been popping in on the odd occasion as I have just been really busy.
Serena - I'm glad everything worked out OK with DS
Denise NZ - Good news on your MIL
Thank you for the congratulations on DS's GCSE results and the Happy Birthday's that were sent. That was Thursday taken up along with work.
Friday I was up at 5.30 am. Went to work. Collected DD from her Nanny's some 30 odd mile away after I had finished. Came home and then decided to go and visit my little bruv, mother and dad and grandparents who also all live 40 odd miles away, at 3.00 pm Friday afternoon. DD and I didn't get back until 10.00pm. But we had a nice time.
My Little Bruv goes off to Afganistan for 6 months soon. So it's been a bit heart wrenching seeing him lately. God knows what I'll be like on the day I have to drop him off to catch his flight.
Saturday I spent the whole day in the kitchen. Had a mad decluttering, cleaning, tidying and inventory making session of the kitchen cupboards. Plus I started a mini declutter of the scary cupboard. I need to get at least one set, if not two, of the plastic storage drawers. Not sure if I could stack them though, which would be ideal, as they are on castors. No point in asking DH to put shelves up as we'll have moved by then:rotfl:
Today I got up and anticipated it being the Kitchen and dining room tomorrow. So did the cupboard door fronts, shined my tiles and taps. And cleaned out the WM drawer and filter. Still it's done now so I'll either finish it off tomorrow as well or it'll make Tuesday/Wednesday easier.
Then at about 1.00pm we cluttered off down to the beach for a couple of hours. Giving the puppy her first taste of the seaside. She loved it, as did DD who reveled in getting soaked through. Luckily I have previous experience of this things  and had thought to take spare clothes (2 sets) towels and blankets. Just in case.
Have spent many a time when the older 3 were little traveling home with them all in their knickers/pants, wrapped in blankets after an impromtu visit to the beach.
DD is galavanting with her Nanny for a week again tomorrow. Off up to Oswestry to stay with her Nanny's best friend and to play with Nanny's BF's grandaughter. They're both the same age. There's ponies involved as well so DD is very excited.
So there we are, that's what I've been at.
My lot don't go back till the 5th. Why just for one day I have no idea
Right off for a wander now, see you all in the morning.0 -
hello all
Realistically I can't be in this week because tomorrow out all day for REM, Tuesday taking girls to cinema and Nandos (got free vouchers!) and then on Wednesday I'm down to Cornwall (home town) until Saturday which is our anniversary when we come back to Devon and we're going out to Jethro in the evening! So I dread to think what the place will be like by Sunday. Oh just remembered my friend is haveing a 'do' for her daughters 5th birthday on Sunday lunchtime and as she's my God daughter and I made a cake last year I think I'm expected to repeat the triumph! Regardless of the fact that 2 of mine this year haven't had cakes made due to pressure of time and inclination blah blah!
We've done literally nothing this holiday so I seem to be packing it all into the one week! Madness!
Thanks for all the REM wishes, Boddy, Lil-me, Guns and Banjos and Jo1972. Yes I always had a thing for Stipey as well...
Nicki how come it's so cold in Liverpool?
Polkadot you have worked too hard lately, I think, but it must be nice to have a clean house! (even a sparkling loo!)
