  • Thanks everyone for your answers to my earlier question about my DGD.

As she is an only at the moment it works - when baby sister gets a bit bigger things may have to change!!

    AnW,s mum - I am mega envious! Have a great time:j :j

polkadot - I am really sorry that you have been treated so shabbily. Insist on seeing another doctor next time.

Must go and get dinner organised.

I've got a cake in the oven (healthy all bran one which i thought would be good for energy when we're walking on hols) and am gonna just make up another batch of bread dough :) will go back through the thread and edit my list in a minute. dinner is prepped (stir fry) so will be easy once DH is home in an hour or so.

now i need some advice ladies....friend from where i use to live is up in london tomorrow, have tentatively arranged to meet her (& her DH & 4 kids), but am really enjoying just relaxing at home...car has to go in for MOT at 8.30am which means leaving home at 7.45 to collect it from in laws and take it in. I do want to see her but am partly worried that car might need something doing and I'd rather be close by (we're outside central london) and also get ready for hols on thurs. I'm totally torn...

polka - micronor is def a prog only mini pill as i was on it til recently and i can't take combined pills. doctors (and others) who make you feel small are a nightmare.

I have to admit, I'm an occasional smoker, but that's fine as I can take them or leave them - I do find that I tend to have the odd one at work if I'm stressed (and can find someone to pinch one from as I get through so few I rarely have any on me!).
Wow! - that really is :money:

I can tell you you've come to the right place. I got on the board last week and have thus far accumulated a bunch of new "virtual mums and sisters" (depending on who's doing the talking), a stunningly fresh loo, a spring smelling house,an empty laundry hamper and a number of much needed free councelling sessions

Aah Polkadot s'nice to be appreciated! - On behalf of my Flysisters - what a lovely thing to say!

And Diva - welcome to you, too!

Rach congrtulations, Amelie is a lovely name, we have a little Amelie near me and she's absolutely lovely :) was the first time I'd heard the name and loved it.
rach, I'd say have faith the car will be ok, you can pay when you collect if required and have a nice day with your friend. Packing won't take you long. It might sound a bit mad but I know when my friends visit and I can't make meeting up I've really regretted it.
AnW's Mum I'm sitting on the jealous bench with the others! Have a wonderful time.

I love the smell of Milton :o just blitzed the smaller FF with it, smells so clean I love it :D about as far as I've got with the kitchen however, needs finishing by 8pm, delivery booked I'd forgotten about. DS2s been to his cycling course, not doing very well so far (with OT) but we'll give it another go tomorrow. Laundry I've nearly caught up on the washing :D at last!
One day I might be more organised...........

Well I never posted a list for today - mainly because I knew I wouldn't do bedroom - and I did landing yesterday (mine's attached to my stairs;) )
    But I have
S&S bathroom (inc washing tooth 'glass' (it's stainless steel!))
Pegged out 2 loads washing, brought it in and ironed it (used wooden dolly pegs on sleeping bag as yellow plastic ones were not up to the job:o )
Level 3'd the kitchen (and I wiped the window sill AGAIN - used to be a 'once in a blue moon' job, that) and I wiped behind the washer - it's near the back door and collects dust under it like you wouldn't believe!
Printed out labels for September (maths & lit, 2 sets)
Done a very tiny bit of Plan & Prep (How's it going Froddy?)
Mopped bathroom floor (because was mopping kitchen - then used this water to wipe down outside of front door - while open so did inside the frame including the dust trap at the bottom!)
No boys in blue spotted - but DS friend tells me his dad is well pleased that they were called (too right!) this is a v. good thing as I gave the names and addresses of both friends to them!

Still to do - bank account :o ***hangs head in shame*** (Kick me TAG)
And you have had a major effect on me - My Mr Sheen (used for dusting) - has run out and I didn't buy it that long ago, carpet spots are being stardropped at all hours - stairs are spotless - you'd never know!;) and I keep vacuuming! I'm even going to try it (stardrops) on blu tack which has ground into carpet in DS bedroom and gone black:mad: although, TBH, I don't hold out much hope!

Just a thought, Polkadot - have you tried Sudocrem on 'the napkin area' - I use it on my kids (occasional) eczema with great success - smells lovely, too!
